  1. You need the A2 buildings and objects, but indeed A3MP is not mandatory, AiA is another way to get them.
  2. Don't launch N'Ziwasogo's sounds unless you want to play on that island, we're working on this issue. You can also opt not to use them at all, they're not mandatory.

I'm pleased to present my latest terrain for Arma 3 : N'ziwasogo The map is 20 x 20 km, mostly covered with thick (yet playable) jungle and also features many Towns and settlements. 3.500.000 objects, nearly all of them are green. Of course almost all objects are from Arma 2 era. The map will feature custom jungle fauna sounds. We're curently busy testing the map, and if everything goes according to schedule, we should be able to release this map in the coming weeks. I Thank Icebreaker for giving me permission to use buildings from Duala, Alduric for his A3MP which improves A2 buildings render, and Berghoff for his wonderfull african foliage addon.   4. Two main problems : Without an updated Visitor placind objects from A3 is a nightmare (extremely time consuming) and anyway what would a jungle island look with mediterranean buildings ? So definitely not feasible now.

  11. There are Massi's "African Conflict", already available, and Yes, i'm also developing African Units.
  12. @Mr Pedersen : don't know. Didn't make battalion sized missions yet. But you should be able to test it by yourself in a not too distant future.
  13. @Modder : The whole southern part of the airport-island is a flat surface. At the moment the runway is 2 km long, plenty of space to land pretty much anything including B-52s :) Now we have to find B-52s. @FrankHH : sorry can't do anything about LODs, the goood news is that Berghoff's African foliage tends to behave rather better than A2 trees ported to A3.
  14. Actualy pretty good for the infantryman on the ground. If you keep your View distance to a moderate distance (anyway you don't see far away). Having High view distance badly impacts FPS even if you don't actualy see the objects. In the air, with 12000m distance, it's a little bit more difficult.

Hello, I'm facing a strange problem with my A3 terrains, that i seem to be the only one having : The tiles on the terrain are not placed correctly, as can be seen on this screenshot. http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2014/02/1389205786-arma3-2014-01-08-12-57-55-90.jpg (255 kB) When I zoom in (like when only 1-2 km of terrai nis visible in the map screen, the problem disapears, and the tiles are correctly placed. What's more annoying is that it also behaves this way in the 3D world, where extures in the distance are not displayed at the right place, then, when you move closer, everything is ok. I've tried everything i can think of, short of a full P drive reinstall. If you guys have had the same problem or know the solution, i'd love to hear from it :)
  16. Hello, Since A2, I'm always baffled by the way infantry can freely move around armor and helicopters, with almost no action taken by said armor and Helicopters. In A3, situation in as bad as ever, actualy, vehicles seem absolutely unable to spot an infantry squad at 500m in the open even when set at 100% skill. Unless you actualy shoot at them, you're completely safe. this make infiltration missions pretty ridiculous, as there's almost nothing to fear from those vehicles which considering they have advanced Thermal Sights, shouls be nearly impossible to pass by undetected. Not to mention that they generaly don't shoot at the infantry with their main guns from a safe distance, but instead love to run at the infantry to get conveniently in range for RPGs. If anyone has solutions to make these armor and helicopters a real threat for infantry, instead of simply being very nice looking targets, i'd be glad to hear them :)

  20. @GranQ : You have problems with the doors ? They should be working (ladders as well).

Hi, yes, i saw all the coments, but at the moment, i dont plan too much work on this peculiar island, because Altis is only days away, and obviously, it will bring a lot of content, and provide many oportunities for scenari. My only goal while creating Koplic was to offer infantry oriented playground (though of course i intended the boats to be used, but merely the smaller ones, as transportation means). That's why I choose shallow streams, that infantry can cross easily. At the moment, i'm implementing roads thanks to M1lkm8n's tutorial. In the future I will probably release a bigger ( 20km x 20 km) island featuring wide interconnected waterways which will accomodate gunboats.
