    MAP FSF Dariyah Released

Do you use last version V0.3 ? Most of the config was redone from scratch vwith 0.3 release, this includes the coordinates.
  2. Yes, It's supposed to loosely represent the mountains of eastern Afghanistan and western Pakistan ( so called Tribal areas).

  4. Yes, and the worst is that the "surface" is supposed to be the same here that on the other parts of the airfield, but sometimes this kind of problem happens ( i keep having those since i begun creating islands).
  5. Do you want to contribute by doing that yourself ? I could certaily use some help.

    MAP FSF Dariyah Released

Dariyah V03 is available Changelog : config redone (important changes in the lighting configuration) Some trees' height adjusted. Lamps replaced by A3 models. Download : https://www.mediafire.com/?6oc7nf9tb98ync2
  7. It's something that certainly could be improved. Maybe in the future but it's not on my top priority list.
  8. There's a strange behaviour with the lamps, they are turned off randomly. if you restart the same mission several times, you'll get different results. Sometimes a whole village can have all it's lamps off, then all on. I didn't test it in multiplayer. I have the same behaviour on altis, where some of the lamps are off ( though i can't tell if it's random or not.)
  9. Version 0.6 Available. Changelog : -Replaced A2 lamps with A3 ones. -Redone the config completely ( Now based on Altis' file), important changes in the lighting parameters. Signatures were checked against a Sig 2 server and should work properly. Download : https://www.mediafire.com/?4sv1n8jxt27lyfs
  10. You're welcome. And you're also the winner of the Quizz Where is N'ziwasogo ( mostly because you were the only candidate, even though you were 1 continent too far away) The correct answer is : Shasta Lake ( Northern California).

    MAP FSF Dariyah Released

I've been working on the cnfig this week end (on N'ziwasogo, cause I'm curently replacing A2 street lanps withe A3 ones on that terrain) and indeed, taking Altis's config File as reference, there's a big difference in lighting compared to the current ones. I'll do the same for Dariyah asap.

    MAP FSF Dariyah Released

The area i used for the elevations data, and the satelite image is west of Dariyah (Saoudi Arabia). The town of Dariyah would be just off map, east. In reality it's an almost completely barren area ( So it looks on the photos). But it would be just no fun to play with the blind AI we have in A3. The aim is to have a desertic themed environment that can represent a variety of places, and firstly that is interesting to play. Not to model precisely a real area.

    MAP FSF Dariyah Released

I'll try to copy the parameters from the last version of altis (the config i use dates back to 2013, and maybe there has been adjustments made since then). kgino1045 and Tpw, your video card is Nvidia or ATI ?

    MAP FSF Dariyah Released

I never noticed things realy weird, but we seldom use flares. Can you launch the MAP without A3MP (there will be no buildings, but apart from that it will work) and post the results ? I remember a guy had a problem with the stars in N'ziwasogo, and it was an outdated A3MP issue if i remember correctly.
  16. Hello, I'm pleased to present a new map I've been working on : FSF Dariyah. As you can see in the Screenshots and the Video, it's a Desert theme terrain. The version presented here is very early work. There are no roads at the time, but maybe it'll stay this way as I'm quite fond of off-road vehicle patrols of the kind the LRDG used to do. Also, you’ll notice the vegetation is quite dense for the desert, but given the AI’s inability to fight in open terrain, it’s necessary for gameplay purposes. http://fzgmak.info/images/teasingArabia1.jpg (1488 kB) http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2014/17/1398072856-sans-titre.png (1066 kB) http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2014/16/1397940884-16.jpg (1289 kB)

    Help with Trees modeling

    Thx for your answers.
  18. Trees modeling Hello, I would like to create some trees for Arma, mostly to repalce outdated models and create new one as close as possible in quality to arma 3 ones. Mostly I'm thinking Jungle and Savanah/bush vegetation. The problem is I'm completely ignorant of 3D modeling (only made terrain creations untill now). So i'm asking for experienced modelers to point me in the right direction. I See extremely expensive software such as SpeedTree an Silvador, are they worth treir cost ? (Anyone ever used those ?) What are the more affordable alternatives (not necessarily free) ? Ngplants ? Blender ? Someone has an idea of the (very approximative) time required to create one tree from begining to integration in Arma ? Regards.
  19. I'll recreate signatures with the new tools this week end ( used "old" versions untill now) and see if it gets any better.
  20. I've Set up a server to Test the problem, I've tried recreating the signatures. Tried packing the addons with BinPbo (Having signatures created by binPbo) Tried previous version of N'ziwasogo (the one released in January). They all failed with the same result : "Wrong Signature". With some google searching, i've found numerous reports of such issues. I don't have the time necessary to Look after the problem any further. So unless someone can pinpoint the issue, i'd suggest droping signature check if you want to play on this map at least for the time being. We don't use signature check on FSF Clan servers (Trouble makers are sent to the Guillotine).
  21. I'll repack and resign Roads an sounds with BinPbo ( were packed with a third party program, then signed).
  22. someone else can confirm the problem with signatures ?
