Too soon to say. But Mass replacing Vegetation in an existing map is something that can be done in one afternoon. So I could keep Version 0.9 ( the last version to use BRG_africa) available, and in parallel continue developing the map using all available ressources. I indend to use if possible vegetation, and more importantly buildings from Tanoa when their style suits the setting of the map. BRG_africa is a great addon, It allowed us to create African/Tropical maps for Arma, but it's about 10 years old now. 3D modders are more inclined to develop weapons than vegetation objects, so one can choose between hundreds of armalite Rifles and i'm stuck with 5 outdated palm trees for now. -

Probably because it's an outdated signature. You gan get a newer version of this addon (BRG_africa) in Isla Duala I think ( with up to date signatures). -

The trees are provided by the addon BRG_Africa, they're not part of the map, so yes, they are as the always have been. Hopefuly, in a couple of weeks, I might be able to replace them with those from Tanoa..... -

N'ziwasogo V09 -Replaced all old ruins with Arma 3 models. -Replaced all objects from outdated IBR* addons by their CUP equivalent. This should deal with most (if not all) of cases when the AI was able to see and shoot through and old addons (ibr_dtowns.pbo and ibr_plants.pbo) are not necessary anymore. -Added a couple of Arma 3 buildings (Offices, Barracks light factories and hangars). -Redone slightly some of the lamps. -Redone the close up ( detail ) ground textures usint new BIS technology. The brg_Africa addon provided in this download it the 1.24 available from Armaholic. Previously it was the same addon, but using Icebreaker's Signature. Using AIA instead of CUP shouldn't be a problem.

Hello, I'm transfering my terrains from Visitor3 to terrainBuilder, and i've got a strange issue with the satmap rendering. As you can see in this screenshot, there's a fairly broad strip of the wrong color at the end of the screen ( it's the outside terrain texture). When you zoom in ( very close), this strip disappears, and the correct terrain image appears. Also, when ingame over this part of the terrain, everything is ok, same when flying high over this part of the terrain. I use exactly the same satmap as in Visitor3 where i didn't have this issue. I have this issue with all the 5 maps i've ported to Terrain Builder. Anyone got an idea ?

V0.3 is available. I'm in the process of replacing old buildings with relatively newer ones. This will take a couple of weeks before à new version of N'ziwasogo is available though. -
@ineptaphid : Yes ,there's no written dependency to CUP or AIA in the config, so you can use the one you want.

@imager 6 : In which town were you ? Can you provide a screenshot of the suspected faulty building / wall ? Do you use CUP terrain or all in arma ? @Taro8 : Yes it is easy to do. If you play singleplayer or on a server that don't enforce signed addons. you need to modify the vegetation parameters in the config of the island. Look for "Surface Character" and "Clutter". but beware Tall grass kills performances, and leads to frustrating deaths against invisible IA. -
You can use CUP without any modification. We've switched to CUP a couple months ago and so far, no problems.

As Neptune said : Use CUP. Though I can't guarentee it will fix there problems, on very old ( I think they're arma 1) buildings. -

Hello, Glad you like the map, but I can't fix problems with the objects (Trees, buildings....) as they are provided by other addons, "all In Arma" and Ibr_dtowns. You may try to use CUP terrain pack instead of All In Arma, but there's absolutely no guarantee it will work or enhance your experience.

It's more likely a problem with the config of the roads themselves, which I 'm not in a position to fix as they are provided by another addon. I Use All In arma, and i didn't run into this kind of problems. The surfaces which I made/Setup have fairly low movement resistance parameters, to avoid snail like vehicles while driving offroad. Which addon are you using for the objects ? All in Arma ? Which vehicle do you use when having this problem ? For the mountains, well I agree with you that those edges are a pain to the eye, but I ruled this out as it would also mean very steep aproach angle when coming from the east.

Hello, I wouldn't say I've completely stopped working on this map, but all developement plans for this map are on a very long "to do" list, and not a priority. Among the developements planned : complete modification of the vegetation (mainly adding big rocks). If someone wants to make modifications, I can publish the sources. Regards.

I see 2 possibilities : 1-I may have left a dependency for IAI_World or something like that in the island config while struggling with the dust declarations ( that don't work anyway). 2-Try to remove makdust.pbo if you've installed it. (It's a dirty config modified from allinarma, that I would have been better advised not to incude here).

You need the Arma2 and arma 2 OA 3D objects. You don't need any of the maps themselves. What errors do you get exactly ?
