    WW4 Modpack 2.5

Nice work Sanc. And once you get used to it,it's very difficult to go back.In fact, for me personally, there's no way I'd use O2 for anything other than finalizing the models. :)

    Google Sketchup to O2?

"Turned in",as the driver, you would be looking at the "view pilot" area. As far as I know, when you then "turn out",you're looking at the first resolution lod. Which is why the detail is a bit lower. You could add some more into the lod, but I wouldn't go crazy with it. Although with armor, you're likely to have less of them on screen at once. So perhaps a few more polys wouldn't hurt.

How the hell do i download oxygen?

Glide was a proprietary driver for 3DFX cards. It's unlikely your card can utilise it. Ideally, you should be using Direct3D HW T&L.

    Google Sketchup to O2?

Hello. :) An empty shell Instead of what exactly? Do you mean instead of the whole vehicle? A vehicle can have different "views".Although the car class is a bit limited in that regard. A tank for example can have a view for the commander, gunner, driver and cargo. This can cut down on the amount of geometry on-screen by limiting it to just what's visible from that particular part of the vehicle.

    Help with Dynamic Weather

I tried 1.6 out of curiosity, and I get the same problems. Although version 1.3 does work, albeit with fewer options.

    Changing texture path

I've used XVI32 in the past.Did the job without any problems as I can recall.

    Changing texture path

The advantage in using it(TxtPathSwap),is that it will do all lods simultaneously. Whereas with O2 you'll need to get in there and repath each lod yourself.

    Moh soundtracks!

A PBO is just your project folder converted to a form the CWA/OFP engine can read. Addons are contained inside them.Ideally you should never compress them. There's a variety of tools.Everyone has their preferences. I use PBOX,which can be found here. There's also PBOtool. And makePBO.Eliteness will also pack PBOs. Look.Choose the app you want to use.If you get into any strife, then send me a PM.I'll try to get you sorted out.But do some reading first. :)

    Moh soundtracks!

Just create a folder, name it "kieransMusic",or something like that. Dump all the tracks into it.Next, put the example config I posted, into the folder.Fill in the appropriate entries and then PBO the folder. The resulting PBO should be put into the addons directory of your favourite mod folders.Or the root addons directory of OFP or CWA.Mod folders would be preferable. The music should now be available to triggers and scripts. Example config. The config only has 5 entries.I'll leave it up to you to add anything else.

    CWA 1.99 Bug reports

Which units?I haven't noticed that problem in vanilla CWA.

    WW4 Modpack 2.1

Hello Stary, Is it the latest version of CWA?The original had problems with animations until the hotfixes were implemented.

    CWA 1.99 Bug reports

Yes. To put it simply. :) Get the full installer,or just apply the hotfixes.

    Behaviorism ;-)

Using the channels can be a pain sometimes. Common courtesy should be practised though.Like a greeting, farewell, discussion about plan/tactics and so on.Personally I wouldn't expect people to converse if they're not in the mood.Especially if I've never played alongside them before. But simple acknowledgement isn't a lot to ask. Of course mission type can affect the chatter too.If everybody is busily watching their "sector" while moving around in enemy territory, then it's probably not the best time for a chinwag. The only people I've ever played with, either online or in a lan situation, would already be familiar to me.Which not only makes conversation less strained. But takes the pressure off,to fill in awkward silences.Which many people do seem to get hung up on. At this point,I'd find it very strange to jump into a game with complete strangers. My expectations,in terms of general respect and courtesy are probably a little too high.Abuse over ping times, skill level,or anything else doesn't exist. And wouldn't be tolerated,in any case. Given some of the nasty behaviour I've seen from "gamers",in the public arena,I'm perfectly happy to keep to a small group of people I know. :)

    HD AKS-74 Plum

I don't think you stated, initially, that you edited the 1st lod to display only at very close range.Which is probably why framerate issues were mentioned.

A: Do you want to make your work available for as many people as possible? To be actively used in the game? B: Or is it more a showcase for your own modelling abilities? If it's A,then those people may admire it's contruction and form. But they'll quickly put that aside and get on with playing. At that point, the detail level will become an issue. If it's B,then there's nothing wrong with that either. There are people out there who download addons, just to scrutinize every nut and bolt for accuracy. As it is,it could be used to bake a good set of normal and AO maps. Then apply them to a lower resolution model. AO can be used fairly effectively, even in CWA/Flashpoint. On it's own,and unedited,it's perhaps too detailed for a first lod.The problem with weapons is the amount of them likely to be present in a game. That doesn't change the fact that a lot of time and effort has obviously gone into it's creation. :)

    HD AKS-74 Plum

It could run ok on an empty island, with just a few soldiers. But things might change radically in the middle of a full on mission. :) Have you tested it in that kind of situation?
  17. Macser_old

    HD AKS-74 Plum

It's a great model. But it's a bit over the top for a game asset.Particularly a weapon. :) It'd be right at home in a pre-rendered film though.

    Downloading Problem XINPUTE1_3.dll

Assuming you haven't solved it yet, have you tried downloading the file and putting into your windows system32 folder? http://www.dll-files.com/pop.php?dll=xinput1_3 I just noticed the naming of the Dll.Are you sure it's XinputE1_3.dll? As opposed to Xinput1_3.dll.

    Arma: Cold War Assault

(Vektorboson was obviously typing while I was.) In a config,I don't think there would be anything to "benefit" from, as such.As it defines classes.1.99 doesn't add any new classes that I'm aware of. It's the new commands/functions that would seem to offer any "benefit". :)
  20. Macser_old

    Arma: Cold War Assault

It may be disappointing. :) But it's probably a bit much to expect, that list of upgrades, from a game that's as old as flashpoint.Especially for free. It wouldn't make good business sense to upgrade an older product, with improvements that the new products possess. It's the same game, minus any ties to Codemasters.Which would allow BI themselves,to presumably market Acwa as part of any future "package". But without any whingeing from CM. Hence the size of the download and name change. To fully seperate them. I may not be 100% accurate, but that's how I see it. :)
  21. Macser_old

    Arma: Cold War Assault

Some people, like STGN,have reported an improvement in performance, generally. I haven't noticed any myself. There are bugs however.Especially in relation to animations. But apparently that's being worked on at the moment. Just think of it as a fully BIS title now. With the name change and presumable recompile,it should squash any legal wrangling. It's the same title in essence, but with no ties to anyone but BI. I'm open to correction on any of that,of course. :)

    Arma: Cold War Assault

If you don't have them installed you'll need to enter the CD key. If you do have them installed, the key should be in the registry and automatically fill in the fields when you install. And it will install into it's own directory by the way.

    Making a 3D textures ?

There's nothing wrong with asking questions. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "3d textures".Do you mean the diffuse(Standard) textures that are used in Flashpoint?Or are you referring to textures that have a "Normal" component?Like in Arma/Arma2. Flashpoint only deals with diffuse textures.

    WW4 Modpack 2.1

Definitely a keeper. It's a very handy way of scanning the distance while quickly popping back to check you're not being out-flanked.
