I bumped the view distance to 5000m and really noticed some performace loss.. So I set it back to around 3500m and all is fine.. one question.. How the heck to you get the hellfire to track to a target? lol

Yeah i just did the buy and download so it is patched to 1.01.. I dont know how high I can go... I will give it a try...But I did just try it with fraps and my fps was around 30 most of the time in MP.. I am having a hard time getting use to this blur in game..and the changing light conditions like when a cloud covers the sun for a second lol..

Yeah that is what the email said that I got... Im sure after the 3rd time call them and they will help you.. It is their method to prevent it being shared.. BTW.. I did dl it and it is the latest patched version.. SO DONT PATCH IT AGAIN lol..

This may sound kinda stupid.. But you cant rule out anything when trying to tweak the game and your machine.. Those of you with AMD X2 processors try disabling one of your cores. A buddy of mine tried this with BF2 because of some problem the game had with dual core cpus. When he disabled one the game ran fine. If I remember correctly it was a specific core.. Not sure which.. So if you can disable one and try it.. If it doesnt work try the other one.. Other than that I supose you just have to wait for the fix.

I am also in the US so I cant really make a good judgement on the flight model of helicopters. I do hope that they are challenging to fly..BlackAlpha made some good points on the flight model and he is right in some aspects. So I hope BIS doesnt noob down the flight model on the helis... Make it something that you have to work at to be good at.

Are you guys running a dedicated server on the machine you are playing on or a dedicated box? Has anyone rented a dedicated box from some host with a good connection to run a server yet?

Has anyone found an on-line service to run a dedicated ARMA server like you can do for other games like BF2 ect? I have checked a few services and havent found one..
-
Yeah I can understand that.. The reason I ask, with all the dedicated services I have been with they normally start offering a pre-order service before the game is released.

Quite fast?  what rock have you lived under for the past 5 years? @§%\!?! Its a cave, not some rock.... . And yes, Armed Assault was developed very fast.. all things considered . It is a rock.... Not a cave.. About the reivew.. I thought it was really odd that the person used such an old machine to review a new game.

=IMO= (In Memory of..) will be hosting one as soon as we get rid of our bf2 servers.. BLAH! lol.. Cant wait!

Just a couple of ideas for after the game has been released. When I played IL2 and Pacific Fighters a group of people created a program that would capture a players stats from one server and saved them to a Db to be displayed on a website. I think this would be pretty cool for the server that run the CTI game mode or really any of the multiplayer game modes that AA will have. The other program I used while playing WWIIO was a program that would show you where your team was on a map. The "Commander" view of this program had a map of europe and would show you the current position of anyone in your squad that was running the client, this would allow the commander to direct his team which way they need to go. All the client program would do was to grap the X and Y coord that was displayed on the clients screen. I know everyone would like to be as realistic as possible but this isnt to far fetched.. Concider this as like a GPS system. With the enormity of the AA map it would be helpful in planning attacks and managing player troop movements. Just a thought...

Forgive me if this has been asked.. I did a search and couldnt find anything... Is there any word on how you will be able to set up your soldier with equipment and weapons, maybe classes? I hope its not a buy as you go deal...
