US Army to invest $50M in combat training games
MAA3057 replied to sbsmac's topic in BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE - GENERAL
http://www.army.mil/-news/2009/01/15/15815-virtual-reality-system-lets-army-leaders-practice-integrating-joint-fires-into-opera tions/ I guess they hadn't upgraded to the new engine, yeah? -
There wouldn't be a bogus difference either way, me thinks. 1985 looks and sounds cool.

Wow, nice lists, Universal. Good to see a community member actively pursuing a brighter future for a MOD. Keep up the great work, Rooney. Look forward to the next release.

$16, the price of two meals. Just do it.
-
Nice collection of units, burner! Looking forward to seeing a semi-to-complete form.
-
Well said, Plaintiff1.
-
Great modification! Is there a possibility that someone can put the download back up on Filefront?
-
Personally, I will never grow tired of the American - Russian theme.
-
Good job, OFrP team! I have been enjoying your stuff on OFP, this will be no different!
-
Whoa! Where did I go?! Anyways, let me have a looksie! Yes? Also, thank you for your contribution to our small society. You have now been initiated.

BIS fanboys...lol
-
This has been around since OFP1.
-
They need to just drop it...

I was about to say, remember that fictional interactive panel that was used in the movie Minority Report? Looks like (oops, edit) reality keeps up with science fiction quicker then we think.

I wish I were a talented scriptor...

I recently looked in my OFP directory for this folder underneath my MPMissions folder but it wasn't present, any suggestions on where it went?

Rio Grande City, Texas. Population 11,000. 1 mile from Mexican-American border. Most historical city in the region. Sits in the third poorest county in all of the United States. Old but greatly preserved 1st Calvary Fort and temporary house of Robert E. Lee, to name a few. We also breed good military leaders. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rio_Grande_City,_Texas http://www.ci.rio-grande-city.tx.us/ I now live here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McAllen

Just as a sidenote for those who might not know it, Arabic and Farsi (Persian) are two totally different languages. Farsi is actually part of the Indo-European language family, so it might be easier to learn. Dunno, haven't started yet. Yeah, I am still undecisive on which one to learn, so I put them together.

Same community, of course...but it is more of an OFP topic than an ArmA. I think you should purchase OFP1, especially for its price and what it has to offer. Think of it as foreshadowing ArmA's potential
-
Hey Gokhan! I appreciated your (and your teams) work in OFP. You all did a splendid job keeping everything consistent to the OFP universe in looks and scripting.

Aww, not fair...the average European knows 3+ languages. A little more then half of Americans are barely bilingual. I guess that's what happens when you live in a continent (Europe) with countries that are a drive away. Anyways, I am fluent in: English Spanish I want to learn/learning: Russian Arabic/Farsi

Oh man that this sucks. Reality TV is looking more like The Running Man every other passing year.

Wazzaa, ingram and Parvus, y'alls images are stupendous!

Like the topic said, more and more soldiers are experiencing problems as months of action are used on them. With the ACU finally finalized within this year, all soldiers should have an opinion now, and it looks pretty grim. We've had thoughts of the ACU in the 'Addon Discussion' threads, but lets leave aside the talk about how they work or how they look in BIA/BIS games. Lets talk about how effective they could be on America's soldiers. Do you all think Multi-Cam is a good replacement, cost aside? I called one of my local Gamestops...they said that it will be instock on May 9th, though, he mentioned something about reserving to guarantee a purchase for fear of a chance that they might not get it; reason being that it is not a "popular game".
