Hey Cameron http://www.armytimes.com/news/2007/04/army_armor_vest_070402w/
-
Crazy stuff Dante, glad to see you showing more projects lately.
-
Damn Mattias. Be more specific with your topic instead of yelling HELP! How to use the addons....put the .pbo in your addons folder under your OFP directory. Try WinPBO to open up your files.
-
That is a lame comparison. lol, very much!
-
It was simply intentional, zootia. It has been talked about along with the other 'mismatched' equipment.
-
Not mechs, per se, but robots like in Robot Monster or Kronos.
-
If it weren't for Gundam, there wouldn't exist any mecha hype, and no MechWarrior... Though I do agree that it would not be possible to make Gundams in OFP/ArmA because they use melee fighting, which is something not possible in OFP/ArmA for vehicles. But, the Wanzers from Front Mission, as well as the High-MACS from Gun Griffon, were very nicely made for OFP, and I DO hope for a comeback in ArmA. What I like most about them is that they don't try to use weapons OFP/ArmA can't really portray well - AFAIK OFP/ArmA can't portray continuous-fire lasers, unfortunately... So having mechs is ok, as long as they use conventional weaponry (well, laser blasts have been made nicely in OFP as demonstrated by the Tie-Fighter Addon, but haven't seen that feat repeated) ... Wrong. If it weren't for American B-Movies we wouldn't have mechs...lol
-
Nice Cameron. I am still enjoying your units from OFP.
-
Thanks for the lesson, junior cadet :-\

MW3 Gold FTW!!! Â MW4 As for mechas, let's all hope that the great Battle of Hokkaido Mod and Ocrambass bring them Wanzers to ArmA ASAP... Â Â Â I also personally liked MW3 Gold a lot more then MW4. It felt more solid and complete.

Operation Flashpoint 2 officially announced

You should go into stock trading as you seem to be able to predict the future (i couldn't let this one pass, an easy score:) In the world of consoles there are no exceptions. It's just a waste of time to play console games. If OFP2 is going to be constructed for consoles from the beginning, it's nothing that's worth playing! http://www.hps.com/~tpg/vac/southafrica/madikwe/elephant/elephant1.jpg I have to agree slightly. It's the type of game that just won't cut it in the console world. It has been their and we all can use OFP1:Elite as the perfect example. Released a couple of years after and yet couldn't keep up with the original OFP1. A big majority of the console consumers rely on new content and usually don't stick with the same game for years. -
Operation Flashpoint 2 officially announced

I can't say it would be the MICH, but it does look like it would be the Marines standard. I am not to familiar with the Marines armor, but maybe a variation of the PASGT? -
Poor Ruskies...:'( Not to be the fashion police here, but they don't even match in 95 percent of the pictures i've seen. I heard their military is doing better now, equipment wise.

It is way to damn early to tell in my humble opinion. Edit: I'm not a fanboy or anything, but BI has everything I can ask for. I am comfortable and confident here.

I was about to say. Edit: Go here instead: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=61607

Operation Flashpoint 2 officially announced

That doesn't look like MARPAT, that looks more like a digitized (pixel) version of Multi-Cam. -
Exactly. I'd say that thanks to a lot these enhancements brings convenience which in turn allows us not to concentrate on whats on our backs, but what our rifles are pointing at. I bet they had to shine like crazy in Iraq with the black combat boots. All this aside, i'm pretty sure you think Americans were hard fighters in the civil/revolutionary war back in the day as compared to WWII/OIFII. Maybe you'd like them to go back to wool uniforms in desert heat along with 120 pound packs and lead balls for bullets, aye? Maybe we should do away with the UGVs and inspect the bombs ourselves. Â

22 here. Played from 2002-2003. Americas Army came out and played it until 2005. Now am I soley dependent off of BIS/BIA projects
-
Oh boy! Let's see if this runs better on the machine I have now then what it did on the demo before!
-
Same as you guys. I always thought the ACU was 'alright' but seeing the ACU put side to side with Multi-Cam...well, lets just say the true victor is an obvious one. On a small note, I knew the patches were going to be a bad investment. Besides, it isn't very often that you have to change your achievements. The Multi-Cam, in my humble opinion, is materialized to be rugged, combat supported in all angles (besides urban as compared to the ACU which is the other way around), realistic and pretty.

Kind of unecessary for the sake of trying to get a giggle. Not sure it needs a WL though. Can be insulting to some people. Happy belated Easter Sunday folks.

MAA3057 replied to Tactical Jerky's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Redstorm Entertainment was undoubtly my favorite developer back in the day. I am glad they are making a comeback with other talented folks.
