If you exclusively use the transport helicopter you should have loads of time.
  2. Total novice to mission editing, two questions. 1. How on earth do I put individual weapons into a map? Can't seem to find them under units. 2. Is it possible to put objects inside buildings or even look inside the floors of buildings from the editor? For example theres a golden AKS at the power plant, yet I've extracted the map to have a look and I cannot see the weapon at all.

Ah I'll try that. *edit* You are correct sir, updated previous post.

    Patch 1.03 suggestions

Razor Two states that there are 4 evidence pieces to collect, one of these is Bardak, it's not obvious that this is the case. I would also suggest rewriting some of the task info and clues to suggest that Lopotev isn't likely to be found, cause he cannot be captured and that is supposed to be the outcome.
  5. I didn't play the game without the 1.02 patch. Generally AI driving is fine but it isn't perfect Turning around is tricky, the AI sucks at 3 point turns Models are ignored by the AI be they other vehicles or people (poor AI old lady) On a few occasions the AI will cut a corner and smack into a wall or something lol.

OK! I had a look through the map in the editor and theres a few things that need to be stated to help everyone out. 1. Lopotev CANNOT be captured. He doesn't even exist. 2. Bardak CAN be captured OR killed. Bardak spawns in a blue rusty car just south of Pusta. He then DRIVES to one of the key areas that you visit during the mission. Quarry/Castle/Power Plant/Northern red x marked camp. One attempt I found his car at the north red camp but couldn't find him, another he was standing in the quarry. Dunno if he gets back in and drives off, but regardless it's going to take him a while to get to any of these locations. To capture him you must chase him around until you get close lol. 3. There are only THREE items of evidence in the map, the fourth IS Bardak. (capturing him is the 4th) The mission ends when; Lopotev escapes (this cannot be prevented) Bardak is killed. Bardak is captured. Tbh I suggest the tasks are rewritten to insinuate that capturing either of them would be useful because it really isn't obvious that Lopotev simply isn't in the level.

How do u play missions in the editor? Oh figured it out, extract it from the .pbo and plonk it in the user maps folder in my documents. See if I can understand how this works and figure out where the 4th evidence is :p

Find and capture Lopotev mission help

open the map, and access him like you did to call him, via f1 or ` > communication >transport

They seem to always fall off the chedaki soldier wearing the balaclava at the quarry. If you have terrain detail on low they are easy to spot. Try hiding his body if u can't see them.

Yeah this mission is now officially driving me loopy. I have found 3/4 evidence, no idea where the last 1 is. Found the following. Dog Tags in Quarry Map in the Castle in the west. Photos in the most north red X camp. I have found nobody of consequence, neither leb or his mate. I can manage to visit all the mentioned places by 12pm which gives me a few mins before the 20minute warning, Leb seems to not exactly exist.

I can't do this mission, do the 2 guys even exist? I've found 3/4 evidence been to the quarry, and everywhere else mentioned. Found bugger all, bah.

    BIS Missions

So you'd prefer us to quietly ignore the poor quality of the single player campaign that we paid BI for? Whether you like it or not, Operation Flashpoint bests Arma in story and missions by an absolute country mile. It seems to me that Arma was to get the engine out and to try and make some money to continue development of game2. That seems to be the only logical explanation to me as Arma is a step backwards from OpF in all departments except the game engine.

    ArmA Disappointing

well retarded and super aim sounds broken to me Seriously though it's insane. 1.05 patch made the enemy AI TOO good, before it was too useless. Friendly AI hasn't changed they are still dumb. I cannot do the single mission blood sweat and tears due to the total incompetence of my team mates in the 3rd stage of it. 1 bmp and 2 squads of enemies can kill my 2 squads will relative ease. AT soldiers decide that the best course of action to kill a bmp is to run in a straight line towards it. Only once have I seen them do it well in about 20 attempts at this mission. (at soldier ran to the right up the hill a bit bmp came towards us he blew it up) The spec ops mission you and 3 AI's taking the village and meeting up with another group. Horrible just horrible. Team mates run across open terrain get in eachothers way try to kill enemies whilst standing up. Couldn't do it with any of them alive. 1.05 also made the mission where u have to sneak into a base to destroy tanks impossible. The snipers in the towers now have super human senses I can't get past them in the dead of night.

I would say it was a solid game if the AI wasn't so broken

    Public Beta Patch 1.07.5154

Bah, that's never true, your AI are just as smart as the enemies. The AI in your squad only suffer from poor leadership (on your part). The enemy AI squad leaders do a better job than you is all. Rubbish. They'd constantly run into enemy fire, even when I wasn't squad leader. 1.05 made enemy AI much better. I presume they use the same code which is confusing as squadmates remained dumb. They moved so so badly. They had real trouble deciding what to do when they saw an enemy. It usually involved strafing.
