lol Sputnik - that video [sound effects and explosions] reminds me of Goldeneye on the N64 for some reason. Also, is it just me or are the old textures nicer? [more colour in them, better to look at]

Possibly x.x Always found it rather amusing/interesting to see them.

Not sure if this has been mentioned... -The option to remove the in game kill notifications? Could prove interesting.

Changes in bold :P *puts on his grammar nazi boots* - Mission ends on your command. You decide when it is pointless to continue the evacuation. ----- But in the end... Measure your success by the number of rescued survivors: Maximum score is 17500, you can also get +1000 bonus points for killing all zombies. ----- Status / End Mission: Opens the evacuation list. Evacuations are logged automatically, but you are able to change the status of whatever you're changing the status of from "unknown" to "dead". You'll have to end the mission yourself when you're sure that you evacuated all survivors. Only survivors that reached the rescue center are taken into account for scoring. Eliminating all zombies before the thing you eliminate them before, will give you a little bonus of 1000 points. ----- You can't cancel an evac! Even if you reload the automatic savegame, you are stuck evacuating the selected civ group. It will only help you to select a better evaczone for them, where the evac HMMWVs won't get stuck. ----- If you swap squad weapons on the field, everyone will only receive the default magazine loadout for the swapped weapons. The only civil weapon supported is the Glock. ----- Definition of "open places"... (a picture subtitle) ----- No ammunition available for these firearms (ingame message) Some bits I haven't marked are a little 'funny' but are alright. -
Attempting to put something in the works that'll solve this :P [see Squads and Fanpages forum - only not exclusive to clans] Should be something resembling news vaguely soon.

How can you not mention the glorious Dschinghis Khan?!?! And their most famous song... MOSKAU!

Strange windows sound effect and poor performance
Mr. Cheese replied to sputnik monroe's topic in OFFTOPIC
If your computer perhaps has any card readers/ports specifically for mass storage then that might be the things you've removed. Personally, I have a bunch of 'removable disks' relating to the card reading stuff on my comp. But then I could be wrong. -
I will attempt to run up a very steep hill sideways and still retain jogging pace. If I cannot do this, I will use the DVD as a coaster for my tea.

If there's anything actually up on screen, might want to find out what device it is. -

Distance setting/adjustment is already in OFP on the sniper rifle. So why would they take it out ? Only on -to my memory- one weapon. It could be expanded to include everything.

POLL: Wich one? BIS or Codemaster for OFP2*?
Mr. Cheese replied to bravo 6's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Lucky it wasn't buy the Codemasters and d/l the BIS :P You might suffer death by cheesegrating. Chances are I'll grab the BIS one as -and it's a simple view :D- it's them who've made the previous games as well as the VBS series etc and who maintain a very good relationship with the fanbase. -
Perhaps not windage etc, that is a little overcomplicated for a game but distance is perfectly possible - instead of just raising the actual gun a bit :P Perhaps a WWIIO style *range for 100, 200, 300* and so forth.

I ran it fine on my old 2.2 :S

I've had a search through and it doesn't look like this has actually been suggested that - if I've typed in the wrong keywords, kindly don't shoot me :P I'm sure we've all experienced getting halfway through a mission and getting lazy, or having to open up .zipped missions from people who've done you a random base or some other aspect of a joint mission, opening it up and pasting it into your existing mission. Not very pleasant. What'd be very nice is if someone could have the option of setting up a 'mission making server' on his/her local machine which people could join in order to make joint missions. Those present in the server would be able to share the same mission screen and modify it to the same degree as they would on their local machine. Each modification made to the map by one of the people present would be visible to all, allowing for each person to work on a separate part of the mission - thus getting it done much faster and with more interactivity than before. If any person wanted to create a script, they could input it into the [as has been suggested] inbuilt mission script editor. The scripts could possibly be transferred to the host machine and then -in real time or by some form of 'refresh scripts' button- sent to all of the local machines for viewing. There - 5 min suggestion on truly joint mission making :P
