Why would you like to get it off from you system? Actually theres no need to to do this. I always have it installed and always will do if it takes me to a reinstall of the game or windows. This tool, is just amazing, quick to use easy to handly and not less usefull... -

Hey all2gether, I´ve a question. I have a english sound file and wanted to become the sidechat text in english AND german. Is there a possibilitie to get the sidechat text displayed in several languages? I tried it out by using my stringtable and respective values. In this case: I also tried the script variant of the String But none of them are working. Any Ideas how I could handle that? I really apriciate any help. Thanks MemphisBelle

One of these tools is called cpbo. This tool is needed to extract pbo files. Because even mission files are pbo files, they have to get extracted and placed right in your files/ArmA/missions directory... -
A further bad reason why ArmA doesn´t really fit for a flight Sim is the fact that up to a certain speed one doesn´t has the possibility to slide the Aircraft. When you are twisting the Joystick the Jet doesnt slide, it starts to roll, thats a further reason why landings are not impossible but difficult. If you are loocking for a godd flight sim to perform A2A then get Lock on and join one of the lots Squadrons. Lock on is not really Arcade but nevertheless a great expirience...

Hey rick, that might be a little confusing but check out page 124 in the guide. There´s an example about how to create Artiellery unit (D30). In this case the syntax begins with Ari1 (green). Green colored words in the guide representing variable things like names of Objects aso. In this case the Artiellery unit (D30) is named Ari1 in the Editor. The same is for a Tank. Use that syntax with a Tank Classname and name it as you want to, thats all...

Go on reading on page 125 below the script lines... everything is explained there about the partys and how become the enemy against each other. Feel a bit stupid, sorry for not reading further. It all works fine. It seems quite simple now, thanks for your help Don´t feel stupid, everything´s alright..;). @Key Cat, thanks for praising. Hope you can well use it. As promised.. I have uploaded a sample mission. Now you can see how it works to create a Group. Download (ArmA Version 1.14 only) Here´s the way how it works, At first, you´re talking about creating a whole group, so it´s page 125, not 124... only to avoid missunderstandings at this point..;). 1.) Place a marker on the map and name it to GrpM (this is how it was called in the script, it´s possible of course to use other names, but those ones of course should be present as well in the script!! 2.) Leave the game by pressing Alt and Tab and open a notepad (Texteditor), copy and paste the script lines from page 125 and name it group1.sqs (as explained in my post above). Save the group1.sqs right in the missionsfolder. 3.) Now go back to the game and save it. Create a trigger right over the marker (that one will disapper if marker is not selected, thats why I placed a Flag on the map). Adjust the trigger (Activation, size (A/B) and type this exec "group1.sqs"; right in the OnActivation line in the trigger. Make sure that the activation was set correctly, Blu, Op, Res or what ever. Then press preview and run into the Trigger area, the group should appear right now. If questions still persists dont hesitate to ask me again...but not over pm, to keep it public... regards MemphisBelle EDIT: Important note to everyone. I encountered a mistake on page 125. The paragraph right over the group script lines describes the name of the Marker as GrpOneM. But in the script GrpM is used only. So either name the marker GrpM or chane the names in the script, but the first way would be more comfortable...;)

Hello rick1965, thanks for downloading and using the book, also thanks for your praising. I am currently at work, but so far I am home again, so I´ll gonna take a look on page 124 and then I´ll tell you how it works. About using an external script like the one you´re talking about so I can tell you the rough handling right now. If you have those lines which are representing a script, then copy them and put them in a editorfile (Notepad). Edit the script if it´s needed and save it right in your missions folder which is located in files/ArmA/missions. You have to save the script either as a sqs or sqffile. But in this case you have to save as sqs, so select filetype all files and then enter the name myscript.sqs. Back in the game the script has/can (to) be executed just by using the command this exec "mysceript.sqs";. This command might be located within a trigger, a waypoint or even within a unit itself. How about handling the script you´re talking about, so I´ll reply again when I got home again. MemphisBelle

hehehe...you will...definately... Today there was a promorelease from CM on the OFP2.info website. They´ve not only disappointed the OFP2 Com with a stupid release but further with a game which might contain a good engine..but gameplay seems pretty similar to BF2 to me....want to say, arcade pure. The videos which were released by BIS are much more promissing a very good game with an awesome Athmosphere.

Hey Bospor. Where did you got this script from? Was ist from the 5th chapter or from another one? Please always post the chapter/subitem and idealy the page where you got functions, scripts etc. from which are causing trouble or wont work.

Definately...we too... it was a hard but interesting time and a special expirience for me to translate all this stuff. So I will use that post also to say thank you very much to Matt Rochelle which was always available when it came to check some content...very apriciated. I also wanted to say thank you to my former teammate Meatl0130 who got asked one day whether he could imagine to check some content which I was about to translate...he did an amazing job all these nearly 2 years. I personally wanted to say thank you to you guys as well, for your patience with me and for you always present interest in this project. Please report any kind of mistakes you recognize. If you have any questions about some content dont hesitate to ask me or Mr-Murray. The guide is available right now in my signature as well.

He´s also talking about you too, as you belong to our Team as well... . @Everyone, Matt put a lot of time into the final phase of the project as well as my other Teammate does, so he deserves as much praise....when it´s done.... . But as Mr-Murray has reported, so it will definately be finished quite soon.....I know.....I know...I told that fact a lot...but this time it´ll be true....hopefully...

Advanced Note! Chapter 5 and 8 are back right now from our teammates from UK and USA. We´re still waiting for 7 and 8. So far they´re back its actually a short periode of time untill everything´s done.....actually...
