We have everything we need to test new definitions using the current system already, so no.

We can do it on the current models and programs, the problem is the game does not recognize the new sections in the armor config.

The armor values are defined in the config by referencing a selection on the model. The system proposed above wouldn't require the tools to be adapted to armor addons.

Probably the same reason the Soviets would not accept some weapons which clearly beat the AK in competitions. Because of the long amount of time spent familiarizing troops with the new weapon type and adjusting all sorts of training all over the country to fit the new weapon.

Sorry, but my old BMP's for OFP don't reaching ARMA's quality standard. I'm working on completely new model for ARMA (some old pics are on our page). If you need any help making the config for ArmA just ask.

I'll have to see it in action before I can say how bad it will run. But I cant imagine it being too horrible if the LODs are done right.

What do you mean exactly? Whats wrong with addons now? RHS is busy working on remaking/completely new tanks for ArmA, so expect to see a brand new T-80 or something smiliar soon. But yeah, what about ORCS BMP-1? Would they allow a port?

It has to do with alpha channels. I had a problem with some of the BMD textures.

The Iraqi tanks were early export versions without ERA or even composite armor I think. Their ammo was equally poor which used steel penetrators and half charges of propellant.

Haha you didn't. So I thought it might not have gone through. But yeah, take a look if you have the time. The textures are not too bad but they're showing their age in ArmA and tend to have this sort of blotchy look to them.

Did you receive the uncompiled BMD-1 PBO alright?

Haha sorry. This all makes me wish I wasnt pretty terrible at modelling/texturing and could do more than write configs though. Cant wait to see the Groza.

We need to get Neph and Romans models together for a weapons pack in ArmA. I would have no gripes about setting up some awesome models and configs for ArmA.

80s era Russian ammo in a T-72S export tank can penetrate anywhere on the M1A1 and M1A1HA at several km. And the T-72S can be penetrated anywhere by the M1A1's gun with the exception of those with ERA upgrade kits which can have a 100% chance of deflecting the shell depending on the ammo used by the Abrams. The tank balancing in ArmA seems fairly realistic to me.

My money would be on a late model T-64 with reactive armor packages for the SLA's elite tank forces.

I'd like to do one, but I think RHS is porting their own stuff over. Maybe I can do one based off of ORCS's T-80.

I've got a BMD-2 model lying around if you guys are interested in adding it to the pack. The main reason I havnt worked on it much was because I couldnt get a good turret texture. And of course the BMD-1, but I dont think those have been repainted to Russian Federation standards at all.

Expect V1.5 done soon. If I don't get the new configs I'll release the updated version without them as it's been too long to wait to fix some major bugs.

I'm hoping for an awesome expansion giving us some cold war action in germany in the 60s/70s.
