I think it will be better to get these out and release the Russian vehicles as a more comprehensive pack, perhaps reskins of addons and a few whole new vehicles.

Yes, yes, yes ...and may be Ka-29 (marines assault heli)Ka-29 Somebody was doing a civillian version on the ArmedAssault.info forum. I messaged him about doing a military version but I'm not sure if he got back to me. I'll look into it though now that we have marines.

Hmm the MTLB seems like a good choice. And It would be a good base for the Shturm-S rather than doing it all from scratch.

Yeah I'm always open to new projects. I've been taking a bit of a break but expect a BMD-2 soon and I have a bit of work on a Shturm-S.

Yep, very close Beta testing has started, all small bugs have been easily fixed so... unless something dramatical happens, we intend to release Version 1 this weekend I do not intened to add anything more (besides a small change on the Cobra scope) so this Version (1), will feature the 18 weapons posted before as well as the VDV and Marines. In Version 2 I will as usual take some of your suggestions and I will make them come true, like the AK-47, RPK the RPK-74M just to mention a few and of course we will add new Russian Units, Steve (Shadow NX) start planning this please. @MechaStalin - I checked your BMD-1 and it's truly a master piece of an addon, I do intend to use it in my missions alongside with my Russians but... I noticed something bad on it, the ammount of textures is incredable. You must be using like 40 or more? You should be using 1 or 2 tops I noticed that it won't be easy to merge all of them, if you intend to do it, I can help you on this, since I'll do it for myself anyway There is a lot of textures but quite a few are because it has a few skins included which I haven't configged as well as textures for the interior which isn't used etc.

They look very nice from what I can see, but the normals on foregrip of the FA-MAS seem a bit strange but they might just be the way the gun looks in reality.

Is it based off an OFP model? If its the one I'm thinking off I can throw up some very nice looking normal and spec maps for it.

Video of shell deflections here. This took me much longer than I should because at the range where the Pattons gun using 80s era export ammo (What I assumed a smaller nation like South Sahrani having) cannot penetrate the T-72 well the gun became fairly inaccurate and very hard to hit with. That and these values weren't intended to be very realistic but mainly show off the effect. Video was just uploaded so it may be a minute or two before its available. Sorry if the shells in the final test are difficult to see at youtubes fairly low res, but it deflects off the front turret and goes up. Its also running in slow motion if the shells seem to be moving slow :P Now to experiment with front/side/rear armor selections. -

You may be interested that I tested with a modified M60A3 a bit and managed to make a Patton whos shells will ricochet off sloped front armor bits of the Abrams the majority of the time but not 100% of the time. I can go into further details if you'd like but it seems ArmA has a full armor penetration system already in place that was never really used. -

Perhaps you should do a version of the of the scopeless SVD with a short AK barrel and make a Romak Scout Rifle.

Yeah and green and camo patterns will be coming in the next release, same deal for the BMD-2 I am adding.
