  1. Today an official warning came out in Germany concerning the Chrome Browser, as it`s still not safe because it`s beta stage, and as i mentioned earlier, it let Google collect to much data about you.

I´m still in love with Firefox, with NoScript and Adblock it`s the most save browser you can get.

If you want to give away any privacy go Chrome, but be warned. wink_o.gif

  2. Nvidia recently started to re-add 3d support for their drivers, but only for Vista.

Tested ArmA with red/blue glasses yesterday, and it was very cool.

Can you link me into the red/blue source website please? I have some glasses but I didn't realise there was a red/blue solution.

Search for "3d stereo" on the Nvidia site will lead you to the 3d drivers. wink_o.gif

  3. The way Google acts in trying to collect every possible user-data, their Browser will not make it on my machine.

I have all Google and Google Syndication cookies blocked, and that for an reason. They don`t would collect all the data only because they are bored and needed to have something at hand. whistle.gif

  4. Hi I was wondering if one of you clued up guys could give me a brief as to the differences between OFP and ArmA's engine. I'm curious as to why frame-rates are so much poorer in ArmA than they were in Flashpoint given that the engine looks so similar in both - on the graphics settings I have set it at.

Is it due to ArmA simply having more 3D detail and thus more faces to render or is there some major difference between the two? I haven't run OFP on this machine yet so perhaps it is caused by Vista reacting badly with games?

If it is caused by more faces then I've heard even a very souped up graphics card won't help this as it's the processor's responsibility not the card's to render 3D objects. Is this true? Is that what you call a hardware bottleneck?

It would help if you tried ArmA yourself, than you would see what it`s about. The price of it can`t really be an argument not to buy it. wink_o.gif

  5. If you support Georgia, you support their invasion of South Ossetia. You also dismiss the will of the people. They want to be free and have the means. Then let them. What's the reason for supporting the aggressor, Georgia?

The way Russia acts, it must support the people of Tibet too, as they want to be free and have the means.

I bet they will never say to the Chinese government that they should give Tibet independence.

They only support that idea when it fits their needs, and would send the Russian army when an part of Russia would try to become independent.

Who says the the people of South Ossetia where not free before?

Many of them get married to Georgian people, and lived peacefully together without problems.

Sure it leads to an conflict once they claimed independence, and get Russian passports. whistle.gif

  6. That is not a problem of ArmA itself, it is caused by bad drivers else it would happen on every card.

It seems that no company can provide proper working dual gpu drivers for crossfire or SLI.

Don`t blame ArmA or BIS for that.

I disagree m8. If the high end games I just mentioned run flawlessly then in my opinion I can easily blame BIS for performance on their game. It's a moot point though...

Dwarden, thx, will try some of them out and see what happens.

And i have to disagree with you, as ArmA works on my old rig with very high settings.

If the game would be the source of the problem, it would be impossible to run ArmA on very high settings with an MSI GeForce 7600GS 512MB AGP card.

I´ll build me an new rig in december, but an ATI card will most likely be not my choice. I put my money on Nvidia, at least i get working drivers from them. icon_rolleyes.gif

edit: And no, i don`t even plan to go SLI or crossfire, to avoid problems from the start. wink_o.gif

  7. Then the west is responsible for tens of millions of deaths every year. The west is worse than Hitler and Stalin together in that aspect.

Sure, see that you get down from the drugs you take.

Post again once you are clean, and don`t have strange visions anymore.

  8. I´m not that sure where Russia is heading.

An socialist regime would be the easiest way for them to control the country with one party. There is no real democracy in Russia, and there will not be any in an foreseeable time.

In times like this, it`s very easy to turn back the clock a few years, and tell the people that experiment had failed and it was the wrong way. The Russians are sheep's, they will follow their leader, as a strong leader is all they want.

  9. I did an oath on the preservation of the basic law when i entered service, and this stands till the end of my live.

Hundreds of thousands did that too, and if a point i reached where action is needed, it will happen.

There will never again be an regime in Germany, thats for sure.

    Edit:

If the German Army would be no more, the Russians would not need to attack. They would only have to come and say thank you to their communist friends.

  10. Die Linke is a rather good party. That's the only real opposition party in Germany today. When conservatives and "social democrats" cooperate, something is very wrong. It's the only anti-liberal party that's represented in parliament too. The rest only differ in opinions on tax %.

Die Linke is together with the NPD, the last that Germany needs.

That party that is called "Die Linke", is a group of extreme left people, same as the SED was back in the DDR.

"Die Linke" and the "NPD" are close to become forbidden, because their plans are not tolerable.

One thing the party "Die Linke" would like to do, is to close down the "Bundeswehr" (German Army) completely. And than? Give the Key to the German Capital Berlin to the Russians as a present i assume.

That people may call them selfs "Die Linke" but it is still the SED, only with another name.

What they do with a country under there control is already known under the name DDR (German Democratic Republic), what is a joke by it self, as there was not a bit of democracy in that "state".

If the party "Die Linke" would be the leading party in Germany some day, they would hold the control from that on by force.

They already stated, that they want the Stasi back. They should get kicked out of business, rather today than tomorrow.

Germany needs no other regime, not from the left and not from the right, we had both and have enough of that shit. mad_o.gif

  11. Quote[/b] ]You are an egotistical 'know it all', you look down on us like we spend our days drooling into cups and that is why most people don't favour you.

There is a reason why I do. Most of you have no clue about politics or history. Yet you have opinions as if you knew it all. There are liberals who know what they talk about, they are few, but they are not on these boards. I would never look down on those, even if I disagreed with them.

Imagine a capitalist with socialist opinions. It isn't rational. Apart from Baff1 (who owns a business and shares in a pipeline or similar) you have no rational interests in this kind of society. Yet you support it like fanatics. Because it's "democratic" or "free"? Or because you are content with what you have? Then who's the egoist?

Bush was just an example, I'm very aware that most of you aren't americans. And it should be quite obvious I'm not talking about the US only. Change Bush to whatever you like that has the same functions like him.

Fine if Americans don't like Bush (yet they vote for him, was it the advertisements or propaganda that made you do that?). But now you're voting for another tyrant. The war-monger McCain who is a lot worse than Bush or Obama who is another idiot. US policies and politics never change as long as the interests of the ruling class are the same, because those are the interests of the US. And the president has to defend them, that's his job. It doesn't matter if there are fascists or nice freedom-loving liberals in the government. There's only a difference when it comes to _words_.

Quote[/b] ]But Spokesperson seems to be perfectly indoctrinated himself, maybe brainwashed too, so he don`t know about it.

The difference between you and me is that I know your political system, the ideologies you might support, and how they work, and I know mine. I can compare.

How can I be brainwashed? 99% of the media is liberal. The state is liberal. The schools are liberal. Everything is liberal. TV-shows, movies and more. When I was a kid I was liberal, I was brainwashed, because I didn't know better. If you grow up in a liberal society you get liberal yourself, just like nobody turns into a buddhist spontaneously in a country full of christians. But for some reasons I developed the ability to think outside the box.

You're the meat of mankind. You burned witches on demand, marched against your class-brothers in other countries and had them killed for phony reasons. But you've always been on the losing side, while the commanders always have won. You've supported all kinds of societies, including slavery and serfdom, with reference to religion, a king, a nation, and now "democracy".

    I burned witches?

God dammit, don`t blame for something that happened before my birth, and for something that i condemn the catholic church for.

I´m proud to be a protestant, and not an follower of the pope and his clique of very old man.
