As we have to wait one more year, before OFP2 will be released, a patch would be very welcome. I would like to see a patch called 1.96+ that give`s us an improved engine. But I´m afraid we won`t get an patch like that for OFP1, so we have to wait for OFP2.

Stonedge, why didn`t you tried the official forceware drivers? I think youre FX5900XT can run OFP without tweaked drivers. Btw, I have an GeForceFX5900XT too, and it runs with the forceware drivers vers.66.81 without any problem.

It`s the freedom to do everything you want in this game, that make us all come back after playing newer games. They look better, but that is all. No other game give`s the choices we have in OFP, and the level of realism in OFP was never reached by another game.

Hmm, I`ve cleared Mazar e shariv of all armed enemys and the mission status is still "raid in progress". Is this normal???

I suggest WinXP is the problem. Hang me, but I`m sure WinXP is the worst thing you can have on youre PC, especialy when you upgraded to SP2. I´m only an MCP so don`t count to much on my oppinion. btw. Wasn`t there many problems reportet, related to soundblaster live cards?

For those got problems with the download, just rightclick the link and point "save as".

Yesterday my new Saitek X52 arrived. Without programming a profile for OFP, it works perfectly in OFP. I enabled the joystick control in the OFP settings and everything works perfect, the POV (coolie hat) too, in OFP v. 1.96 beta.

The other units working, more or less. The police cruisers have no engine sound by now, and only the MP version have the siren sound. I`m waiting for the final of this vehicles. Keep it up.

Whats up with the swat van? These no entry model special messages are so g.. d.... unspecific.

Albert, youre right. This game looks much poorer than OFP2 will look. I don`t think they use DX9 effects, if they do I wonder where they are.
