    PPU question / Soundwave simulation

Why buy a Physics Card when you better spend that money on a quad core CPU? It will come in a few month and will shurely have enough resources to handle complex physics by itself.

It`s not only the lockpicking interface. The mousemovement in any menu is terrible. You will notice it in the inventory too.

@ Stealth3 Google for "memtest". It was an bad idea of Bethesda, to sell this as extrastuff. When they didn`t get it in the game in time. When it couldn`t be in the first release of the game, it is not fair to charge money afterwards. This "extracontent" isn`t worth it money. The problem is, if mods that come out in future use this stuff, you have to buy it, or you can`t use the mod. First mods of this type are out already.

    Win2k Pro or WinXP Pro?

Simple answer, the beta versions of Windows Vista are more stable than WinXP will ever be. I tested WinXP an different computers and had many problems with it. Since Win2K Prof SP3 is installed this problems are gone. My friends had the same problems, some say " I`ll never use an Microsoft OS again". I`m an MCP, so i have disagree. They also didn`t heard my warnings, learned it the hard way. My cousin bought a laptop, WinXP SP2 is preinstalled, so the trouble continues.

    Win2k Pro or WinXP Pro?

I`m using Win2k Pro and will do so until an final of Vista is available. It`s all running pretty well on my system. WinXP need more system resources for itself. On many game covers you can find in the system requiremands, that the game will need 256MB Ram with Win2K and512 MB Ram with WinXP. Installed Oblivion a few days ago, runs fine too. I can`t see why you should waste money on WinXP Pro. Win2K Pro should be cheaper, and i doubt that OFP will run better with WinXP Pro than with Win2K Pro.

When you want to know if your PC can handle Oblivion try this. Select "The Elder Scrolls IV", and start the test.

    FFUR - Huge Release !!

You should have at least 1GB of Ram to say i have enough Ram. Anyway, are you using -nomap? That would help, if you start this mod with the automatic created shortcut you already start OFP with -nomap, you should decrease the viewdistance or the level of grounddetail.

    Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

I just started playing Oblivion, got it today. It is let`s say this way, zum niederknien schön. It looks and works fantastic, 1280x1024, 2xAA, Bloom, much Grass and some additional candy. I`m using Kegetys ui mod, and have disabled the loading message between the cells.

One thing to add, there is only one version of the FFUR 2006 mod out there until now. The FFUR 2005 mod was released in various versions.

    Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

From what i read in the official forum the load time between the cells is minimal. When you disable the "load message" it`s often not noticable. Maybe i can say something more tomorrow, as i`m waiting for my copy of Oblivion.
