The best wishes from me too. We will miss you on this forum.

I have the same problem, stuck in that mission too. I`m flying around to search enemys, can`t find any. All enemy tanks are destroyed, chopper is rearmed and refueled. Mission will not end , and this "improved flightmodel" of patch 1.02 makes me crazy.
-
Bis should give us back the OFP/Res flightmodel. It is fine for human and AI, works good for every plane and chopper. Or atleast give us the control to setup the flightcontrols via the options menu, not only the key-bindings.

Why not record the movie with the good old VHS system? Than record it back to you`re computer.
-
Hasn`t fade exactly that "feature" when it`s activated? Who knows, never had trouble with Fade.
-
Maybe the "affected" should post where they downloaded the patch. Even a bug would have affected more people, or not?
-
Why would someone modify a patch? I could understand a modified .exe, but a patch? Why doo script-kiddys shoot up websites?? The same here?
-
Same install for me. 1. Installed ArmA 1.00 2. Patched to 1.01 3. Patched to 1.02 4. ArmA works without the aiming error Try to redownload the patch from another server. Can it be, that someone upped an "modified" patch? This error reports are a little strange.

German ArmA version 1.02, no translation patches. You didn`t installed the tonal withdrawl hd weapons?
-
Have you read my post? I tested various weapons in the editor without the reported error. All assault rifles and pistols worked fine, as they should.
-
I have no doubt that BIS will fix the issues with the next patches to come, as they did for OFP/RES. With the mod`s that will be made, it will be more than "OFP on steroids", much more.
-
I`m using the german version 1.02, put targets and weaponcrates on the map, did some testing. Every weapon works fine, note that i don`t use the crosshair. I´m allways aiming with optics or ironsights, and that works fine for me. Did you got error reports while patching to 1.02? There is nothing wrong with the aiming in 1.02.
-
The car control is fine when i use the mouse. The controls of all vehicles seems to be optimized for Keyboard + Mouse only.
-
Aiming works fine with patch 1.02, no problems even with the silenced M4. What mouse do you use? I use the Logitech G7, you need a precise input device for propper control.
-
That`s exactly that problem i meant. Totaly unrealistic behaviour.
-
Look what will happen when you are hovering and you press "x" for example. The heli shouldn`t do more than point the nose somewhere else. But what will happen is a different story.
-
For mousegamers this flightmodel is nearly perfect. For Joystickusers this flightmodel is pure crap, not useable. I`m not happy with this.

Patch 1.02 Released for Czech and German ArmA
Mr_Tea replied to GermanPower's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
Do you have WinXP SP2, or WinXP 64bit Edition? -
As it looks right now, it would be step forward to put the OFP Flightmodel in ArmA. It can`t be, that this Flightmodel of patch 1.02 is called "improved", because it is not improved. It has changed, but not for the better.
-
The Flightmodel may be optimized for mouse gamers, but with an Joystick it`s even worse now. The z-axis (back rotor), now acts like left-right. When i try to change where the nose of the heli is pointing, the chopper starts to get out of the balance, in a way like pushing the Stick right or left. That sucks, where is the improved flightmodel? Not in patch 1.02, that`s for shure. I´m a little pissed, realy. That`s not what i expected.
-
They`ve presented ARMA out of the Box, not patched. No wonder that they had massive problems.
-
Keep an eye on the temperature when you overclock the GPU.
-
Take the GS with 512MB, 128MB vram are not enough. Another 512Mb system RAM will help too, for shure.
-
You should wait a little, until the next patch will fix the flightmodel. It don`t make any sense, to try somthing with the current flightmodel.

What for? Arma works great in 32 bit. It`s Dec 06, you know?
