The strange thing is, all retextured troops seems to produce this bug. I renamed the addons in my @retex modfolder one after the other, without success. When all addons where renamed to .pbx the bug was gone. It`s not one addon, it`s all retextured units causing that bug.

I don`t care that much about VBS2, because it`s astronomic price tag. I would be more interested about what the Arma engine is capable of, @ max of course.

The area outside you`re viewdistance will not do anything to you`re graphic card. The south Sahrani "stand alone" islands are less detailed than the original Sahrani, that`s why they run smoother and not because of that they are smaller.

Use the action menu to start the engines, or rtfm?

We need the modding tools, than we`ll see what`s possible. And don`t forget little things like DXDLL, and what it has added to god old OFP\RES. Some impossible things where made possible by modders.

You should make a complete reinstall and stay away from this spyware loaded no-CD cracks.

And the "with Addons Version" should at least include all needed addons. The BW units, you know? I mentioned it earlier.

Good luck for all ATI users, that you can play Arma soon without that problem. I`m an Nvidia fanboy, but i`m posted not because of that. Glad to see someone from AMD/ATI over here, to have a look at that problem.

It sounds like..., yeah. Anyways, their are many threads about problems with the ATI drivers, a few too many.

When you post a list of the needed addons, why the hell do you let needed addons out of this list? I already have some gray hair, and don`t need more of it that fast. BW_Soldiers 1.03 are also needed, please add them and and an link to the needed addons too. It must not be, that people have to download the "with addons" version, when only one addon is missing on their PC.

This thread should be closed, the problem is caused by an error in the "highly praised" ATI drivers. Also there are other threads about this problem, so why let another one open?

If you carry an M16 and want to get the M249 from the "machinegunner" put you`re M16 on the ground, select the gunners gear section in the action menu. Now the inventory from the machinegunner will open, where you can pick up the M16 for the machinegunner. Than you can use the M249.

I use Arma with an MSI GeForce 7600GS 512MB with Win2K Prof. SP3, and Vista Home Premium without errors. I have overclocked the GPU and Vram, what can be done with that card without loosing the warranty. The Card is cooled via an Heatpipe and got an extra fan to cool the card. The temp. of the GPU is never over 65°C, and i never got graphical artifacts or other weird errors. I use only the latest official drivers for my hardware.

After a few attempts i got the file from Filefront, the non addons version was downloaded before by me, but wouldn`t start. Thanks for posting the mirrors, Kristian should edit his first post and add the links. Edit: Thanks for pointing to the ViconX units. I already had them in v.1.02 but v.1.03 is needed. I really hope this will work ones the new units are installed.

Are there any mirrors for the version with addons, or can i get a list of the needed addons? I have problems getting complete downloads from Filefront, and download managers don`t work for Filefront.

Since i patched up to 1.05+, i can use ALT+TAB whenever i need to do it, without prob`s. My OS is Win2K Prof. SP3

I have an MSI GeForce 7600GS with 512mb. It runs Arma in 1280x1024 in medium to high settings, viewdistance around 2000 meters, good but not perfect of course.

Do you mean the American version of the Arma demo? That is version1.6.xx, so no players with others demo versions can join, because of the lower version number.
