Send an pm to Kronzky, the codes are generated in relation to the playername. In the future you should backup the savegame, to avoid that problem. Use Alt+Tab to switch out of ArmA, than open the dir where the saves are stored, and rename the save. Now you can save again, and have the other save as an backup.

The 7100 is the low end of the 7000 series, the price is ~30€ atm. An 7600GS with 512 MB that runs ArmA fine for me, can be found ~100€. That`s not much for an card, that runs other games very good too.
-
I`d bet it`s the 7100 GS, that causing the bad frame rate. An update in that place could do wonders.

They might give two shits on an lawsuit, but they need money. If the cashflow could be interrupted for some time, and for some of them, it would still be a good thing.

This warning should have come with the game...

The problem with the newer rig`s are unoptimized drivers, and often the use of an unsupported OS (Vista). I bought an GeForce 7600GS with 512MB some time ago, it is really cheap and has a good performance. -

The 6600 sucks if it`s not the GT, and the CPU is important too. Don`t blame the game for an slow PC. ArmA runs good on my rig, and that is a little old by now. -
Try the Portable Target Range by Kronzky, it`s very good for training with all kinds of weapons.

GeForce 6600 no GT , probably 128MB? And what CPU? -
You get problems with an unpatched OFP and do wonder about that? Patch the game.

The climatic changes are all directly related to the activity of the sun. Over the last four hundred years there was an up and down of the climate. The same up and down was reported for the sun activity. CO2 did not caused the warming, the CO2 concentration went up after the temperatures get warmer, not before. The warmer it gets the more CO2 is released from the oceans, the cooler it gets more CO2 is "stored" in the oceans. Also, the more panic scientists produce the more money they get. What are they doing with most of the money? They build really big computers to calculate the weather of the future, and how the climate may change. Funny thing is, many of the scientists are 100% confident that this CO2 hysteria is pure nonsense. We could cut down the CO2 output produced by man to zero, without having an impact to the climate change. My two cents on that.

You are using an unsupported OS, so don`t blaim BIS if ArmA will not run on you`re system. We can be happy that it work for some Vista users, like me.
-
Are you using Vista or XP? Without basic infos given, nobody can help.
-
Only the .pbo file has to be put in the missions dir, otherwise it will not work.
-
Backup you`re savegames, ALT+TAB out of ArmA, go to the directory where the save is located and rename it. Now you can save again, and have another save as backup.

The Audigy2 Value supports 7.1 sound and EAX, every later card too. If you can find one of those cards, they should be very inexpensive.
-
Buy an sound card, Audigy 2 or better. Onboard sound needs resources from you`re CPU and RAM, and can slow down you`re system ~10% or more. I experienced problems every time i try`ed to run an PC with onboard sound. Every time the problems where fixed by disabling the AC97 sound, and plug in an PCI sound card.

I really don`t know which ship that is, but it`s looking very impressive, even if it`s still WIP and not ingame.

The shuttle is more an emergency evac vehicle, than a taxi. For that it works well, but it`s really no taxi.

Can i install Arma DVD on two different computers?
Mr_Tea replied to the_bengine's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
A fact, but who gives a damn anyway? Everybody should, at the end we talk about a form of software piracy, right? -
I`m not barking. I only tried to explain what the main source of the problem might be. Besides that, ArmA works at my PC on Win2K and Vista Home Premium 32bit.

If you go on with this, you risk a perma ban. Think about that, before this reaches the point of no return. -
ArmA is designed to work with Win2k and WinXP, Vista is an unsupported system. I hope you see where the problem is.

You`re not. It is illegal to install ArmA on more than one machine, thats a fact. -
I did not bought the X52 for ArmA. I use it mostly in MSFS9 and X3, where i would be lost without an good controller. As i own the X52 i use it in ArmA too, but i would not buy an joystick for ArmA alone.

In the video settings, advanced features, or whatever it`s called in you`re version, set the texture detail to normal.
