I`m using an 32" 16/9 LCD Flatscreen TV since today, in 1360x768 native resolution. Arma looks and works fantastic in widescrenn mode, without errors. I got that TV as an freebee from my Mom, because my old TV died and i needed an new one. Mom

eXtreme Arma Mod.

It works for me, but remember that you have to go into the office building, to set the view distance for ground and air operations.
-
You can`t imagine, how much worse my world looks like. Anyways, HDD`s are very cheap atm, even for someone like me.
-
Not enough space on HD left? HD`s are cheaper than ever this days, how can someone run out of space?

Savegames, that`s what you need. Save you`re game, ALT+Tab out of ArmA and rename the save file. Now you can save again, and have the other save as an backup. When you are dead, load an savegame. If that is damaged, take one of the backups.

Hello, and Please look here.

I have an Logitech G7, similar to the G5 but without cable. My ArmA mouse resolution is set to the lowest level, and i often switch the mouse driver resolutions "ingame" on the fly. Works great that way. Lowest res for aiming, middle for normal movement and the highest res for driving and flying (fighting against the fucking auto center feature).

Securite Civile Modification
Mr_Tea replied to Blue_Flight's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
This planes and helicopters are great. Good addition to an "empty" civil environment, i want that stuff. -
The "POW problem" can be avoided by driving an civilian vehicle, and than ordering the POW to board that vehicle. I always get shut down, when i use an blackhawk or any other mil. vehicle, for picking up the POW`s. To the damaged vehicles: It seems to be easier to blow them up, so they respawn at the base after some time. Even if it cost some points, that way is much easier.

Do you use the 64bit edition of WinXP? Arma works fine for me, with an 7600GS 512MB. Edit: I use the original Nvidia drivers in version 94.24.

It happens often, when i use ai operated M163 Vulcan in Evolution SP. With an M1A1 i can flip them over again, not that i`m happy with that situation.

I don`t want to play Crysis, but Far Cry 2 for sure. The new Cryengine can produce an realistic environment, but i doubt that it can handle really big battles. Imagine two army's operating with infantry, tanks and air support in that engine. It would need an über PC to handle that, if the engine is capable of that at all.

Read through the first post, there you will the infos. Edit: If you download big files, use an download manager. My download of this mod was interrupted several times.
-
I`d guess the upload is in progress, and we have to wait for the dl links to get posted. Hope there will be some mirrors.

I have no problem with the "missing" weapons info, you don`t have that in reality, and get used to it. What i really like is the minimized action menu, the original is very big. The level of zoom is ok too. I shot moving AI soldiers over 250 meters with an M16, with ironsight used for aiming.

Sounds good, i´ll give it a try.

I have an Chieftec bigtower, with all cooling options used. There is no hot air, that could stay in my tower.
-
If you`d call an temperature drop of ~15°C nothing. Heatpipe plus fan is very cool, in the true meaning of "cool".
-
Hehe, my card is build for operating without an fan, cooled with an heatpipe. Imagine what happened when i put an fan on the cooler. The card now rarely reaches 60°C, stays ~55°C most of the time, at an room temperature of 25°C, up to 30°C on hot days. I have all my rooms under the roof, and it can get very hot in here.

Look here, @ the Nvidia driver page.

Good news. Time to restart with Evolution SP, and play it through from the beginning to the end.

CheatIdiots.. and BIS... Question about cheaters..
Mr_Tea replied to BLSmith2112's topic in ARMA - MULTIPLAYER
There is a company in Sioux City with the name T.K.C. Inc. Maybe there is a little chance that they would be disappointed by seeing their`e name used by some assholes. -
Teletubbies in ArmA? I`d have great fun with hunting them down, drive over them with an M1, and blow the pieces away with some explosives. I hate those "things", should be forbidden to watched by children over 12 month.

Send an pm to Kronzky, the codes are generated in relation to the playername. In the future you should backup the savegame, to avoid that problem. Use Alt+Tab to switch out of ArmA, than open the dir where the saves are stored, and rename the save. Now you can save again, and have the other save as an backup. I did sent an pm to kronzsky but he said he lost the codes... so... any one? No code from another player will work for you, write down the codes when you get promoted, or when you have freed an town, to a piece of paper. Don`t loose that piece of paper.
