You all should not forget, that Vista is no supported OS to play ArmA on. The system requirements are: OS must be Win2K or WinXP. So don`t freak out because ArmA refuses to work with Vista. Follow the advises other users give, or install an supported OS.

The Buildings from QG will fit in nicely. Great Isle for urban fights, CQB and infiltration missions. I hope that Visitor will get an update soon.

You have to deactivate the onboard sound in the BIOS too, to uninstall the drivers is not enough. It could also be the source of you're problems, that you didn't deactivated the onboard sound, before you put in the X-FI. Did you switched the X-FI to game-mode before you started ArmA?

There are plans from AMD/ATI and Nvidia, to release DX10 AGP Cards. I think the 8800 will never come in an AGP version, but the 8600 has a good chance. But we have to wait, there are no specific info`s out yet.

Hm, i still use Win2K Prof. for gaming, but i asked because there are still performance problems with Vista. btw: I use the following hardware: AthlonXP 3200+ (Barton Core) 2GB DDR RAM in Dual-channel mode MSI GeForce 7600GS 512MB AGP Audigy 2 soundcard.

AA and AF kills not that much performance for me, and i only have an 7600GS AGP Card with 512MB vram (DDR2). Edit: Yust checked the settings: AF is set to High, AA is set to Very High.

You should have bought the 8600 GTS instead of the GS. The GTS is a little more pricey, but worth the additional cost`s. 256MB videoram is not that much too, so try to return that card and get the GTS with 512MB. What OS do you use?

Crysis will never see such big battles, as in ArmA or ArmA2. We don`t have super computers at home, that can handle that job atm.

The DX9 Version looks very good too. They presented Crysis in DX9 on the GC this year, and it looks for better than i expected from the DX9 Version.

Forget the idea, that banning IP`s will help. Not all players have fixed IP`s. All i need to do is unplug the power cord of my DSL Router, wait a moment and plug the power cord in again. Once the Router is reconnected, i have a new IP. I am no cheater, but cheaters that have that connection to the net, can get dozens or even more different IP`s a day.
