If you`d like to use mod`s i would not think twice, buy it. There are already some addons out, that requires QG. Don`t forget that official expansions are adding new modding resources, like units, anims, buildings.......

That`s not correct. X3 has support for joysticks, can be bought for a little bit of money even over steam, or on DVD. It has nice graphics, a big universe...., and you can: Trade,Fight,Build and (must) Think. Try it, you will not regret it. There are mod`s out there, that more than double the amount of sectors in game, and you can find any kind of spaceships you can think of. I recommend the use of the DDRS mod, or Xtended if you like to play an "early" beta, that requires a new start of the game, with every new version of the mod. Around X-mas we got a patch, to fix the last little bugs. So if you want to buy a cheap game, that causes no additional cost´s, is enjoyable for a very long time, than buy X3 Reunion. It may happen that i make a conversion for the CWR mod. But i have to wait for the CWR final, than i can see how it works out. First test of Evolution SP together with the CWR demo are promising.

I have played Evo SP with this sound mod for many hours. It was pure fun, and i heard none 4sec sound loops.

Null vote. SP, mostly Evolution Single Player by Kronzky, and some self made Missions. I don`t like playing with/against cheaters. That the AI cheats too is known, but the cheating AI did not ruins the game.

With Evolution SP, what is what i call a big mission, i get the best results with 1.09 Beta and maxmem1024. Win2k Prof. SP4, AthlonXP 3200+, 2GB Ram in dual-channel, GeForce 7600GS 512MB AGP. I hope the maxmem parameter can be used with 1.09 Final too. Edit: Of course i shut down nearly everything, that is not needed to run ArmA. Anti virus and firewall too, that`s why i play Evo SP, and not online.

Have you updated all drivers after the reinstall of you`re OS? The drivers shipped on CD with the hardware are very old.

ArmA has some problems with 4GB of RAM, disable 1GB and it will work most probably. Take a look in this thread.

We should think of the Dakar as something from the past. The future of the "The Rally" is at a safer place, they can`t afford to cancel another rally right before the start. So Australia would be perfect, no security problems and the perfect terrain to make an awesome rally.

You will maybe have the rally right at you`re front door, in a few years. I´d bet you`ll get a better coverage than.

There is the idea to race in the Australian outback in the future. It`s the end of Lisbon-Dakar, and any big race events on the african continent, as it sinks more and more into Chaos every year. Imho Africa is a lost continent too. No african nation works, because of the tribal thinking, that can be found everywhere in Africa. I hope i`m wrong, but i`m afraid i`m not.

And than again a full download for very few changed content? I noticed that after i had downloaded the last new version, it`s basically the same as before with a few never files in it. Not that it should bother me, with my fast DSL connection, but i think many would appreciate if they only have to download a smaller patch.

That`s very sad, and makes me want to kick some terrorists asses.

I really can`t wait for the final, so i begun to toy around with Evolution SP in CWR. Mama i`m coming home, it`s so great. Once all units and vehicles are out, Evolution SP and MP too of course, can make use of this great mod. A little editing is required, but not that much. ArmA is getting more and more interesting. I hope CWR can be "easily" ported to ArmA 2 when it`s out.

The use of the "B" button to the the binoculars is much more convenient, no need to use the clumsy action menu for that. But i agree to the point, that the action menu itself is often not really helpful. I don`t know how many times i have blown myself sky high, by accidentally igniting a placed charge instead of picking another action from the menu.

The US Army has many highly trained troops, that are only waiting for their call. They are on standby for some time now, to "secure" the Pakistani nuclear weapons. And to secure does in this case not mean secure the position where the weapons are stored, it`s get them out of the land by ANY cost.

No, that bug would have been noticed by me for sure. I have never seen an bug like that in ArmA, maybe because i don`t use TrackIR.

Are the lowplants compatible to CWR at all? Maybe they are not, what could explain what`s wrong.

No, at least 1.0 needs QG.

Works all fine for me. Vanilla ArmA, ArmA & CWR and ArmA & XAM 1.4, all with Patch 1.09 Beta.
