I have not. Link?

Still get driver crashes with this release, on the new 258.96 nVidia drivers. I might just have to roll back to 197.45 and see if that fixes the problem. :(
-
I agree about the displacement. It seems way too exaggerated to the point where you're constantly pulling your mouse downward just to get back on target. I have no problem with slight adjustment after a couple shots, but as-is it's kind of ridiculous.

Please make the at4 ammo only take 0-2 slots in the inventory.
MavericK96 replied to Drumheller's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
Maybe they did it primarily as a weight thing? So you couldn't carry an AT4 and then a ton of ammo/satchels/whatever in addition. Not that it makes sense overall, but this is my guess. -
About what I expected. Not to disrespect the OP or anything, but people should really post before-and-after results in the form of FPS numbers/screenshots/whatever to validate their claim with these snake-oil performance "boosts".

Are you running the beta? -

My guess is that the following are true: 1. [APS]Gnat has Hyperthreading enabled. 2. You do not. Correct? -

Did you try the WHQL-candidate (what you are calling "beta") drivers? Because I am pretty sure they are the exact same thing. -

So for those of you using SLI and the older 197.45 drivers, what solution are you using for the lack of SLI profile in Operation Arrowhead? -
Agreed. It makes no sense that shooting a lone guy with a silenced weapon from some distance away would instantly trigger an alarm. And regarding the "invisibility" thing, it's not so much that they won't see you while prone, but as I described earlier, they will just come up to you and try to chat or something, rather than shooting you in the face like they are supposed to.
-
Fair enough, I'd rather they work on other things as well. Just an idea, though.

I've used this program but I never saw any real performance increase in ArmA2. How much of an increase do you get?

I'm guessing the WHQL 258.96 driver is the exact same as the candidate driver... -
I'd like to see some actual performance numbers from this versus not doing it.

A tool system would be nice, like maybe to be able to dig a foxhole or something?
-
Yeah, I mentioned that earlier. Kind of bugged out, but really funny.
-
A few things would probably be helpful: -Your complete computer specs (most importantly video card) -Your video card driver version -Screenshot(s) of the proposed issue -Your in-game settings

I don't know if this has really been addressed, but does the new recoil affect AI as well? (both friendly and enemy)

Offload more work to GPU?

Yeah, I might have to roll back to 197.45 and see if I keep getting the weird driver crashes. -
Operation Arrowhead - not detecting VRAM & RAM
MavericK96 replied to slickric21's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
No, I am pretty sure setting other options like Texture Detail and Video Memory determines how much VRAM is used. -
I would say, if anything, get a new video card, though yours is pretty decent. That, or get an SSD and hope that helps.

Changing those values in the .cfg does nothing, confirmed by Suma in another thread. -
The way the magical AI works in ArmA2, you'd never get close enough to a guy to knife him anyway. Would just flip around and shoot you in the face. :D
