Hell I live in Texas and a small town 30 miles north of me had a huge chunk of shuttle fall onto someone's backyard.

    Space shuttle columbia lost

I was listening to radio this morning and just learned about it. This is really horrible. Supposidly during liftoff, a piece of insulation broke off and hit the wing, but NASA engineers said there was nothing to worry about. I guess they were wrong...

A whole lot of fun on 09:sniper team!

Yeah, i've seen the soldier (W. Uniform). Its pretty weird although if you have kegetys addons, you can create a soldier called East Spy. Under east, infantry. Hes basically the same thing. That mission was pretty cool now that I think about it, I also did steal the chopper but never said anything about it. Anyways yeah icefire, he is probly a traitor or a soviet in a taken outfit.

    I cant belive this!

No, I did not install 1.91, it does more harm than good. No, I did not install the 1985 upgrade, it too does more harm than good, it would probly screw up my campaign just like the Red Hammer update too. The error message, its not written right, I was too lazy to minimize this window and look at the error message. And Finally, I got the game to work, I dunno how but now im already on Wake Up call, god the campaign got really easy all the sudden...

    Fire damn ai, fire!

About the tank gunner not firing without your command, well thats the way he is, you are his commander, and he will wait for your order, although if you want him to start killing lots of infantry(using machine gun) tell him to engage at will and then tell him to target a soldier. He will kill that one soldier and then he will start eliminating any other soldier he sees. It works really well because the AI can usually see enemies better than you can. Too bad that little trick dosnt work on tanks. About the Apache and cobra accuracy thing, make sure your not moving faster than 100mph and that your nose is pointing at the target. This increases your accuracy ten-fold.

    Resistance sniper

I have hadno problems with the resistance sniper. He seems to be able to shoot the same distance, if not farther than the East or West snipers. For close range, he likes to use his MAC-10 alot in my game.

What do you think is the easiest?

I thought the MI 17 was the easiest one to fly of them all. It was the heli I first flew in when I started using the editor, basically because it made a great missle platform , and Vipercheese is right, turning left or right and pointing the nose down is the best way to land a helicopter. I usually straighten out at about 600m from the target at 30-45 m off the ground, making sure not to go faster than 140mph, and I do little pulls to slow down my speed and then when almost right over the target I turn right and push the nose forward and land. Although I find Airplanes to be a real pain to fly! I spend most of my time trying not to lose control or crash into the ground!
  15. I am making a Weapons demolision mission that takes place after the war is over. It involves you going around and blowing up left over Soviet hardware, except i got one, no three problems. 1- How do I make a trigger that will activate when 3 empty T80s, a bmp2, and a T72 are destroyed? 2- How can I make it so when I demolish the empty tanks, the AI dosnt kill me? (Setcaptive true isnt an option) 3- This deals with a waypoint I have; how do I activate an objective complete trigger ("1" objstatus "done") when a soldier joins my squad? Any help would be appreciated guys

    Empty unit triggers

Alright, I know what to do. I unPBOed the campaign and looked at the mission Sabetour and it had the necessary information. Thanks for the help anyways.

    Radio script help ?

Alright say you have a couple of M1a1s. Give them a MOVE waypoint and then whatever waypoint you want them to execute after the radio command is activated. Make a trigger, make with an A axis of 0 and a B axis of 0. In the activation field choose Radio Alpha, or whichever you want it to be. Now use F5 to syncronize the MOVE waypoint and the trigger together. To syncronize, press F5 and click on the trigger and drag the blue line to the MOVE waypoint. Now when you want to activate the trigger, just go to the radio and call them in. Thats a pretty basic example, but it can get really complicated.
  19. I am creating a dialog for one of my missions, but the only way I can get the CutText to show one at a time is with triggers and waypoints. Is it Possible to have a trigger with all the CutText in it, but between each cuttext there is a certain amount of waiting time? Example: cuttext ["Hello Bubba","PLAIN DOWN",1]; waittime; cuttext ["Hey Jimbo...","PLAIN DOWN",1]; waittime; cuttext ["Damn We sure are hillbillies...","PLAIN DOWN",1] where waittime = pause between the CutText P.S, no its not for a Hillbillie Militia MOD Â

Has anyone tried not fighting in ofp?

I rather be a squady, because the only thing im good at in this game is tank commanding. I just tell them to Engage at Will, Form Line, Danger, Fall back into formation, and i tell my driver to go to the next waypoint. And we kill and kill and kill, i never have to assign targets unless a T80 appears outta nowhere and is about to kill one of us, that when i tell everyone to target something. My Infantry skills? Oh, they suck. Quote and i DO quote from one of my missions "1: All Engage BMP, 2: Engaging, 3: engaging, 4:engaging, 7: engaging, 1: All report Status... , 1: damn 2 is down, 1: damn 3 is down, 1: Oh no, 4 is down, 1: 7 is down." Maybe its just me or maybe my squad members dont really qualify as "Mentally Fit" ie RETARDED! Â

Who's the best, east or west?

Excellent work Soldat, although if you tried the same with armored units i can assure you unless you have a 6:1 ratio in favor of the M60s, they too will get a vicious ass-beating And with the abrams, they will need to be overcomed by a group atleast two times their strength (T80's that is) but there are chances that the Soviets will win if they manage to hit the Barrel of the Abrams and disable them, which they do frequently to my dismay.

    Text timing

Uh Oh  Error messege that i got apon activation: '_waittime = this select 5 |#|: error select type object, expected array i checked out the comman ref. and Johan's tut. but theres nothing there for waiting time. Usually i know how to fix these, but this one puzzles me, heres the script i got so far, maybe somone can see where i screwed up: _waittime = this select 5 titletext ["Engineer: So where are you guys heading to?","PLAIN DOWN"] ~_waittime titletext ["Officer: Me and Dan are going to Davle, looks like for some guard duty.","PLAIN DOWN"] ~_waittime titletext ["Chris Korzilius: Shouldn't it be Dan and I, Sir?","PLAIN DOWN"] ~_waittime titletext ["Officer: Are you insulting a supierior officer conzilus?","PLAIN DOWN"] ~_waittime titletext ["Chris Korzilius: Its Korzilius Sir","PLAIN DOWN"] ~_waittime titletext ["Officer: ARE YOU!?!","PLAIN DOWN"] ~_waittime titletext ["Chris Korzilius: No sir...","PLAIN DOWN"] ~_waittime titletext ["Officer: thats what I thought...","PLAIN DOWN"] end "type object, expected array" hmmmmm ill check that out now... ... Alright, according to the Com ref. for 1.85, Object is a game object like a soldier, tank, building. What the computer wanted to see was an array which is a array of items, each may be of any type; i dont understand what that means. Ralph, anyone, can i get some assistance?
