Actually Sprocket is made by IDEA games as a way for them to distribute games online. IDEA games is made out of 3 companies, 2 of them minor, and BIS being the big boy there. So saying BIS has nothing to do with it is wrong lol. When you think of IDEA games, you think of BIS. Nobody thinks of the other 2 companies nobody ever heard of. Its like saying STEAM has nothing to do with Valve lol.

Your power supply seems really low to upgrade to those cards. A geforce 6800 ultra needs a minimum of 350 watts. They recommend about 450 watts on your system if your running that card. For higher cards, I'm sure its much more. For those cards I would get 500-600 watts, You don't want for it to overheat and fry. If you do upgrade your psu, I recommend Antec.

No such thing exists. But why the heck are you even talking about this? If it wouldn't have ran in Vista, the symptom would be a black screen. Or not being able to start. Any software that works in XP should work in Vista with no problem. So you wrong. Its like saying you can't run Withdows ME games on XP.

Steam is by far the best online distribution out there. The only thing that comes close is getting the game yourself. I bought HL2 ep1, Red Orchestra and Medieval 2 total war off steam. The download is very fast. Downloaded Medieval 2 total war in about 8 hours. I have a 4 mb connection. Everything is automated, you never have to worry about patching anything, steam does it for you. Easy server browser. They have really fast support too (Never needed to use it, but form what I heard) To play in the offline mode, you don't need to have internet connection. Just select offline mode. For those complaining about Steam running in the background, lol give me a break. Steam uses about 10 MB worth of memory while its running. MSN messenger uses twice that amount. So unless you have a super slow computer, Steam doesn't really affect you at all. The best thing about it is that everything is automated. Tripwire interactive is making their second game on the Unreal 3 engine. They started the business distributing on Steam since nobody wanted to publish their game. After that, they were able to secure publishers pretty much everywhere.

No, the campaign is really really bad. Even with the patch, I heard people having problems. In every possible aspect its at worst than the CWC, Resistance and even the red hammer campaign.

EA doesn't make games, they are publishers. They pay developers to make games for them. But in this case, and according to this logic, Codemasters get all the credit for OFP. Nice.

Why do you guys compare everything to EA? Bis is not EA, so stop comparing. And even EA games are less bugged, but I won't talk about that. You don't believe me, compare the bugs in ARMA 1.0 to the bugs in any EA game that just got released.

DX10 is just a scam to make people to buy Vista. Most games that will come out in the future will also be DX9. For at least the next 3 years..........

I haven't said anything negative regarding 1.05. I'll try it out, and then talk about it. But Its not my first priority and I'm not expecting much. So Ill install arma one of those days and see whats different

Any changes in the helicopter/jet dynamics? Do they fly the same as in 1.02? Any changes to how soldiers move? Are they still controlable like robots? I could install ARMA and grab the patch, but too much to bother with if none of the above was changed. Oh yeah, I uninstalled a long time ago. ?

The only right you had was to buy or not buy the game. To late now. I suggest you wait patiently for a response. If I was softwrap support, I would wait 2 weeks before giving you another license. I know your situation sucks, but maybe you should have thought about it before using sprocket. Its not like there weren't many warnings. So its all your fault.

Why would BIS add females to ARMA? Since in ARMA the US marines are represented. How many females in the US military? Maybe 5%. How many of those on the front line? Not much. Close to 0 in the marines at least. 99.99% of the people playing ARMA are males. It doesn't make sense adding females from the realism point of view and resources point of view.

One year is nothing. We shall see if it lasts longer than 4 years. Which is just as much as OFP could be regarded as being active online.

I can assure you the HDR in ARMA is nothing like real life. BIS needs to rework the HDR code and get it done properly or give us the option to take it off. Because it pisses people off playing like this. Something is missing because things are not right. Also the effect is stupid because you don't even need to look directly in the sun for it to happen. You can just look down and just move a few degrees to the left and right. And boom....... everything changes.

Thats only 4. ARMA is about to have its 4th patch friday, and its about time you fanboys stop comparing. It won't make ARMA any better if you do.

Maybe because some people have a life and want to devote 30 minutes to gaming, not an entire day. In CSS, or Red Orchestra, I can have a 30 m game and enjoy it. In ARMA, I would need to devote half a day.

Wrong. I guess you never played red orchestra. They have the most realistic death animations of any game, and thats because they did the ragdols right. If you watch videos of soldiers getting shot and compare them to red orchestra, you will be shocked how real the animations look. You guys just find excuses from everything. Just because BIS didn't have havok in for whatever reason doesn't mean the system is totally useless in terms of making things look real. In, HL2, the ragdols don't look too real, but it was never intended to look perfect. However, when it comes to object physics, HL2 has a great system.

If your a hardcore coop player and thats pretty much all you play, nothing else. They yes, its worth it. For anyother reason, It's not. At least at the moment.

ARMA's a lagfest already when you play with a lot of people and the server isn't top notch. The reason they didn't add Havok is because ARMA can't handle it and have a reasonable lag.

What the heck are you guys talking about? Your comparing a 6800 to a radeon 8500? Do you know anything about computers, or just trying to mislead him. Theres no way ARMA will even start with a 8500. Its not even on the minimum requirement list.
