    Replacement Pack -Ebud's US SF

    I might be a little thick but I can't get the mod to work. I've tried using the mod switch working along with the FDF Sounds Mod and I have also tried launching using ArmA Launcher with the mod named. It is not replaeing any of the uniforms of any of the characters. Should there be a space after the semi colon and in your installation instructions you say to keep the directory structure - does that mean that the folder "replacement packs" should be in the root directory of my arma installation or should the 4 individual sub-folders be in the main root i.e. <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\@CSL_EBU_US_SF_WOODLAND_REPLACEMENTS Any help will be appreciated.   5. Yet another question from a newbie to Editing. I have the basic bones of my mission - I have created the enemy bases and targets, added units. I want 3 objectives - 1. Kill an officer 2. Destroy Shilka1 3. Destroy Shilka2 I have added the required units and named them officer, shilka1 and shilka2 I have used CHris's Editor thing to create a breifing and added the three objectives. But I don't know what I need to do to get them up and running in game. Do I use triggers, scripts or the init line in the units to activate the objective list. I have created a trigger that ends the game when all the units are dead using the <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">not alive shilka1 etc. But I don't think thats the best way to end. I'd like to end the game using the individual objectives. Is there anyone out ther that can offer some advice in plain languange? I really don't understand much about this editor just yet. Rich
  6. Yeah - I know that the search is a cool feature and I already read that topic. It means nothing to me, what I need to know is how to make and use objectives. I don't understand init files and stuff like that yet. Any more help will be appreciated. Rich
  7. Just read this and I've followed the explaination to the letter. The issue I have is that the helo moves to the waypoint with the troops on but then won't land - it just hovers. Any idea why? Rich

  9. I'm trying to get the Urban Patrol Script to work - but I am new to editing this game and have no idea how to create a 'Game Logic' as stated in the instructions and on another post here. I have created a file called server.sqs and I have added in the code <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">nul=["init"] execVM "ups-f.sqf" I have placed that file in the root of the mission folder in My Documents. I have added the init code to the init line in the unit commander to activate the UPS script. Each time I try to preview the mission now it is telling me that I need to Create a Game Logic Called Server. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Rich
  10. I'm trying to build my first mission and I would like to add a trigger that when activated calls 3 seperate units of re-enforcements. I have added the units to the Tiberia base in the Southern Island and I have added the trigger in Iguana. I have named the 3 units Backup1, backup2 and backup3. The trigger is an elipse and I want it to activate when Bluefor troops or vehicles enter the elipse area. How do I do this - do I need a script or do I add something to the trigger or backup units. Any help would be appreciated. Rich

    Still waiting for the 1.05 patch - and yes I know that it's due late Feb, I did read the post but Moderators, please allow us to comment and ask questions before you lock posts. What I can't understand is why BI have release totally incompatible versions of the game? The earlier released versions are only upto 1.2 - yet the 505 release is 1.04? There doesn't appear to be any intention to get all versions the same until 1.05 - which is a real pain in the butt. I would have expected BI to ship the 505 version AND a 1.04 patch to make them compatible rather than ignoring those that had already bought the game and had been spreading the word on how much potential it has!     I'm not sure about the differences as I can't play it as I have the German version - but the point I'm making is not the date the 1.05 is coming out - rather that BI should have released a 1.04 so that ALL versions are compatible and that we can all take advantage of the new servers that are springing up all over the place. I really can't understand why they didn't - if it meant extra work then they should have just released the 505 with at 1.05 and the 1.05 patch for the other versions at the same time. I seems to me that they did not think of the compatibility issue or the players all over the world - from the USA to Austrailia - that have already purchased the game online. It's not a good way to win customers or good publicity - all you achieve is to get folks like me moaning on forums like this. RIch
