At this time the community is spread amung the differnt patches which are out there such as 1.08 and 1.09 and 1.12 (even other patches ealier than that :P) etc my personal suggestion is to keep with the times and update to beta patch 1.12 heres the link to arma holics patch download page 1.12 patch here

every suggested new game mode is worth trying out, its sounds like something which some of the ArmA leagues have but why not a public version? why don't you start and make the map? good luck with your idea

23-4-08 Hello lads time for another update Its been getting pretty intresting as always in -{GOL}- recently as we have been getting an increase in multi-clan/public co-ops which have been very enjoyable and intense and amazing Firstly Id like to thank all the individuals which regulary play on the server with us and we appreciate all of your support our gallery always gets bigger with more and more pictures of these great games so feel free to check it out Click on this Secondly around the 20th of may we will be upgrading our dedicated server hardware to a much higher spec This is what we are expecting to have at that time Dell R200 Intel Quad Xeon 2.4Ghz 4GB of ram 250GB hdd if you ask me thats a nice little beast of a server  addtional information will be in the upcomming newsletter at the end of the month thats all gents

the problem with PS3 (consoles in general) is we are going to get a large increace in the kids which could become a problem to the part of the community which takes the game seriously in co-ops etc. urgh High pitch voices from 12 year olds if you guys know what i mean It might not be the case but its a worry which i have with arma2 at this time

10-4-08 Update Hello everyone -{GOL}- is currently undergoing a mass edit of its addon pack to give the community a much more user friendly (mostly in terms of size) addon pack to witch you can download and play along with us on other addon-required missions which we play this pack should be out shortly expect an update soon

I think i can give the reason behind somerville's lack of work with Sahraniville  1. Hes got a busy life now with uni and other personal areas 2. When he saw that life dominated his project he lost the will to continue it to put myslef in his shoes i dont think i would have liked to have seen like 6-7 odd servers in the 1st day and seeing ville just thrown away like that Anyway for my vote i personally dont like RPG games anyway but thats the information about ville
