FSS SOC stands for Federal Security Service Special Operations Center. It's an English abbreviation. "FSB" is a Russian one, though commonly known. Anyway, check the readme for some historical background. And yes, the AWM .338 (not AWP, it's the police version) is there... since our FSB forces require high precision sniper fire when situation calls for it (e. g. hostage situations, etc.), they use it. When accuracy is not so crucial, they revert to traditional Russian sniper firearms.

OK. I've encountered a glitch myself... to the addition to those mentioned here. If you use a "init.sqs" script in your mission and SIMULTANEOUSLY mine and Voyager's "lsr_pjhalo_airstart.sqs" thing, you'll notice some funny behaviour for the paratroopers. That's because ANY init mission script seems to override the variables in our scripting. Will be addressed in the future update. I'm taking some rest now, hiding from the OFP community for a while... hope you won't get down hard on me for this. I'm not quitting, there's no dispute, and i hope we'll get something to play with this summer. Plus, i've got a mission on my hands, by Chaos studios, using my HALO jumpers and Heli crew pack. I hope to put it out soon. -

OK, guys. Thanks for your support. I think the update patch's in order, since there's some bugs to be fixed, i found some myself (damn, why people need to sleep sometimes?). To avoid getting a "ModelSpecial" error - you need to download the Weapons 3.0, since PJs and CCTs use new Eotech weapons, which were not present in the 2.0. For all the required add-ons and links to them please check the readme. Also... dunno where the trouble is... the plain raw text pasted from .rtf format isn't sometimes recognized by OFP, so excuse me for inconvenience. You'll have to type it out by hand. And groups... i searched all over the net for designation of those, but to no avail. Well, i guess that goes to show they're classified And last but not least - my other units will be getting a facelift. Not sure how soon though. With SEALs it's gonna be a bit easier, but for Deltas and Rangers i already have some plans which include some model changes. Same goes for the weaps, of course. Ok. Some more friendly and healthy criticism is welcome, as usual. -

It's all there. We didn't get all the things we wanted in time (like steerable chute), but they'll most probably be there later. -

Well, the weapons pack for now has reached "feature freeze" status, so i'd add anything as a patch or as a later bigger update. Plus, you can scratch a couple of coming days off my OFP addonmaking schedule... i was celebrating my birthday... and i will be most probably lost for OFP community for a while. Hope you'll excuse me for this. I won't take long though.

Well, atm only Air Force guys would be able to use HALO, but i'm planning an update for my other units, so they might possibly include this function as well.' And as to the possibilities of the jump... it's still WIP, so i can't say for sure. One thing: i tested the script alpha, and the AI didn't crash. Oh, and we're not planning manual parachute opening for the player.

Well, can't remember if i said this before, but anyway, my previous versions of Deltas, Rangers and SEALs are going to get some facelifting too, including new heads, camo pattern changes, model fixes etc. Not sure how soon, but i'll definitely try to do that.

OK, men, a sitrep. I'm pleased to announce that my weaps pack update is 99,5% complete, save for a few config issues. I've reworked 70% of the weapons, including AR-15 family, M240, M249 and almost all of the M-14's. The scripting job is also on the go right now. I already have alpha version of the drop script, and it already does show some fancy airwork (several random rolls' animations, plus "pulling the ring" anim, biggest thx to Sanctuary); it still leaves some things to be desired, but Voyager is working on these. We (by "we" i mean Voyager, who is doing all the hard work, and me, who is constantly bugging him to incorporate this and that) are also planning to include steerable HALO parachute (the model of which is basically done, except for distance LODs). And for this extra primary weapon... please don't call me ignorant, but i didn't have a time to check that yet. The incorporation is yet to be considered.

OK. Well, i'm sorry i can't post anything new right now... i'd just like to keep an element of surprise for all of you guys, so please don't get too hard on me. Believe me, everything will be well worth the wait. As for the release date... I hate to disappoint you, but the answer really is "when it's done". The reason: all i have to finish yet are wound textures, but scripts are being made by Voyager, and he didn't give me an exact completion date. He said he'd work on'em this weekend. Plus, there's some work to be done on my weaps pack, but that shouldn't take long. I've revamped the entire AR-15 line, and M-14 and M-249 need a facelift also. Sgt. Eversmann had contacted me and has my permission to update his units. To all who have asked me for PSDs: sorry for the delay, i'll hopefully pack'em up and upload somewhere this weekend.

OK. The work is progressing nicely, though i still need to get HALO units scripted (hopefully Voyager will get on'em soon... and i've got some nice animations made by Sanctuary), plus some cosmetic changes on'em. I really need some advice on how are the newer HALO compatible packs are laid out on them, since all the pics i've got show HALO guys carrying ALICE. Plus, some info is required on a subject of combat elements' organization... i. e. units' editor designation. Right now i have ParaRescue Team Leader, PR Operator M4, PR operator GL, PR Operator SPW (guess the para version of M249 would fit well) and PR Radio Operator, same goes for CCT. Any feedback on the subject is welcome. Next thing. I have virtually no knowledge on how ranks are defined for USAF ParaRescue and CCT units. Only thing i'm aware of is that they've got Technical Sergeant rank, other than that i know nothing. This is not really a question to be implemented into the add-on, i'm trying to make some mission to go with 'em and that's where i need the ranks. The possible mission would use FFUR (not necessary, but makes it look tons better), OWP Mi-8 and Pilots, LSR US Heli pilots, BAS Pavehawks (and Blackhawks), JAM3 and possibly Vit APC pack. On the subject of USAF heli pilots. Actually, it's only a name thing... Army Heli Pilots which are present in my pack can pretty much go as USAF ones, just a name mistake. @ShadowNX: recently i'm just managing to hop online for a few mins to post some screenies and stuff... hopefully it all goes back in order in a couple of weeks.

Hmm... oh, well, OK, not much new to report lately... been fiddlin' around with new face textures compatible with Llauma's heads, here's one, take a look. That's supposed to be me, BTW. (though i may look like a bit hung over...)

OK now, here's something which is pretty 99% close to final. I'm still working on HALO units (they have to be scripted yet). The units have all 10 inventory slots and every one of them is able to heal. As you can see from the pics, old ALICE pack was substituted by a newer one. Still, HALO guys would most probably retain ALICE, since i have no knowledge on modern HALO-compatible packs. The guys in the maroon berets are intended to be garrison units. OK, here we go...
