I guess if you make SP missions it makes no difference. I only make MP missions and I like both sides to have vehicles based on realism so that they are not disadvantaged because the author based the addon on BIS stuff, (the BIS t80 is no match for the M1A1 and players feel they are at a disadvantage). If the vehicles are based on realism at least you can say well that's what they are like in real life not everything is equal We'll leave it at preference. I prefer to use vehicles with realistic charactoristics. There are some other tanks by another author who is very good at what he does and those were what I was hoping to match the Challenger2 up with however that is not really possible in it's current state.

My personal opinion is that making addons to match with standard BIS vehicles is inherently flawed. I use addon tanks with other addon tanks. I do not use default BIS vehicles anymore yet I find it quite perplexing when addon authors match up their work with vehicles I don't even use in missions. All we have now is unrealistically weak tanks that are not suitable for use within a mission. Just my opinion but build a tank based on what you think is a most realistic representation of it's characteristics and let other addons fall into line and forget about standardizing with default BIS units which are no longer used in missions.

Spent a few hours last night assisting a player from my server who was having .p3d errors after installing the WG pack. He was getting "uralt.p3d" error and after a lot of troubleshooting, cleaning out all his other addons, changing flashpoint preferences etc, we discovered that unless you have Direct3d HW T&L set in Flashpoint Preferences you'll get .p3d errors. Hopefully this helps the WG crew resolve this and helps players experiencing the problem in the meantime. Regards,

Fantastic work Flaber and Hunter, well done. The ADF Mod S70 has an option to unmount the MAG58 doorgun and use it as a Heavy MG infantry weapon, is this something that can be done with the M60 and M249 on the HUMVEE pack?

This is a good idea, Â You should make a new thread for people/admins to post to other admins about cheaters so they can be banned from all servers (hopefully) Ok here is the new thread. I have already received a few emails from Server admins around the world and all of our ban.txt files have been updated. I would like to suggest some guidelines for emailing banlists to other admins: Are the bans temporary? If so do not include them. Have the bans been in place for more than 1 week? If not do not include them. (That gives time for a ban to be undone if it was a mistake.) IDs MUST be sent via email privately to another admin. Not posted on the forums. Admins who wish to receive updates from other admins can post their email address. Other than that, I encourage all admins to share their banlists, it will not only stop known cheats from going elsewhere to ruin other peoples games, it will also discourage players who are thinking of cheating as the consequences are much worse if the server they cheat on is part of this alliance of admins. If you have a problem with our PR methods, bring it up with us, don't have a swipe at us "behind our backs." thankyou. Eh? No really.. has it been postponed? I only saw the BAS RUSOPFOR and partially completed rangers/deltas.... so in my opinion these fine tanks did overshadow it. Sorry if that offends you but it's the truth as I see it. Just wondering when the week will be completed.. been a long week. Soz for offtopic..

Very well done. This tank will make for some great multiplayer missions. Having four crew is great. This one release overshadows anything I saw in the "BAS Week".. whatever happened to that I wonder...

Yay "tight" has replaced "buff" in US slang... I was getting so tired of hearing them speak... And this nuke is not MP compatible at all.

Could we possibly have the following abilities in the Mission Editor: Ability to select a group of units and change their defaults as a bulk selection. E.g Select a squad of units and change all of their skill to low and their Special to : Cargo So where each unit is similar enough to have the same options, the ability to change those options all together would be great. Also, a Ctrl + Z (Undo) option so if you accidently stuffed something up you can undo it. Also non-editor related, in Flashpoint there are currently no truly dark places, e.g if there is something stopping sunlight you do not have very dark shadows. It would be good if light level was calculated so that you could have very dark shadows in places.

My question is why did they screenshot some of the mission editor, then stick the top of the Tactica menu on top ?? You can even see part of the mouse cursor that was cut off.. confusing.. Maybe it's just showing the simularities between the two..

Yes, same with the Nuke version, all players see the shell that is created. And the blast. Works very well.

I have done extensive Multiplayer testing with nuclear weapons while mucking around changing that BAS scud to fire the COC nuke and FPS and all that stuff is fine it's the blast area that is the issue. It's an instant show stopper, you need to cut the blast area to only around 200-400 meters otherwise you will all desync to hell.

Check your Res\Addons and OFP\Addons directory. Make sure you do not have a double up of the BAS_SOAR185.pbo

So basically this concept is flawed inherently because we have a lot of very pathetic admins who shouldn't be in a position of responsibility to begin with? Then make it work both ways. Report which servers have irresponsible admins that should be banned from being able to submit IDs.

Well I was about to offer the Nuclear Scud to anyone that wanted it but I've hit a giant wall with spikes on top... The nuke goes off, it looks pretty, but only the person that launches it sees the mushroom cloud.. (nuke.sqs).. I do not know how to get nuke.sqs to exec on all clients, if anyone can help it'd be appreciated. Cheers,

Texturing looks good, all that is left is stomping on the remaining bugs and then updating the weapons. I will download when all of this has been done otherwise it's just a half-completed addon next to something like the MARPAT's.

If BAS want the script.. (even though surely they can do it themselves) then they need but to ask. It's not my work, i just put other people's work together. So I have no claim to it. Credit goes to BAS for making the Scud Fire, and credit goes to COC for the Nuke effect script.. and credit goes to Hudson's F18 that I used to see how they detected the nuke went off and when to make the nuke cloud appear and how.. So yeah if BAS want it no probs, or if you guys want the one I made, just need BAS permission.

heh I just completed the Nuclear Scud... Works like a dream... Point, Click, wait, Mushroom. Do BAS mind if I use it just our our OGN Server? It will only be available for OGN Players.

Well the idea is to share those IDs that you are sure have been cheating. The guys that cheat blatantly, give you the finger and say "Haha suck shit i'll just cheat somewhere else" well this is what I want to stop, I want them to have nowhere to go. Cheers,

I was mucking around with it last night, changing the ammo it used in the script and also edited the config.cpp to change the payload to make it more powerful. Then I got onto making it use the payload from the F18 with the B61 nuke, that was... uh.. quite destructive.. I kept on having to move my scud further back from my target range, I ended up placing one of those Command bunker's for my guy to hide in One thing I found difficult is there is a script that is activated by an event handler and it calls the "NukeWatcher" script which waits for the nuke shell to impact and then creates the huge mushroom cloud.. that part I totally couldn't get working.. Oh well..
