Adapt: First mission. Bug with radio comms?
kye replied to kye's topic in ARMA 3 - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
Oh boohoo. Problem resolved now anyway. Thank you for the response. Harzach. A disabled mod was causing the issue. I deleted the folder out of the directory. -
Hello all. I can't complete the first mission of the second campaign due to a bug or some potential issue with the triggers. I don't have any radio communication at all once I go over to the radio on the beach. Yet if I look at videos online, the radio communication is on going and informative up to completing the mission. Regular difficulty and the TMR mod being used. I got through the first campaign without any issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Kye

Campaign Episode 2: ADAPT - Feedback thread ** SPOILER WARNING! **
kye replied to Wiki's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Hello all. Having a problem from the very start. I go over to the dead person on the beach to pic up his radio as the OC is talking. Once Kerry picks it up and says he is receiving, all transmissions cease. However if I look at videos online, the OC is giving Kerry help right up to the objective. Restarting the episode doesn't cure it. Difficulty is regular with normal AI. Does anyone have any idea how to get things working properly? -
Hello all Given that this weapon is a bullpup platform, why are the casing ejected from the from of the weapon, when the magazine is in the rear? Design feature or oversight? The case ejects as the round fires so it isn't like it travels up the inside of the weapon and then out of the ejection port. It doesn't make much sense to me. Thanks.

Question on the FN200/ Mk20 casing ejection
kye replied to kye's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Case closed I guess. That is an interesting way of doing things! I'll be reading up on that! -
Hello folks I'm having some problems here. The mod seems to be working fine apart from not being able to rest the weapons or deploy bipods. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this? MY tab key is assigned to the deploy feature. Thanks

The guns you miss (until they get modded back in)
kye replied to rasdenfasden's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
A nicely done L1A1 SLR. And the Mk 48. -
If BI don't implement it, then ACE does. Certainly the safety catch feature anyway. It would be nice to see anway. Although the drawing the pistol while on the move issue needs to be addressed to make that work well.

Looks smart so far. Given that Arma 3 is set in the future, what calibre will be used? 5.56? Or would the 6.5mm be used in keeping with the 'NATO standard' in game?
-
Geneva convention is something I have seen mentioned on here. Would be interesting to see if you could put on a divers suit though.

Will there be british armed forces in arma 3
kye replied to tom.tucka's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
A futuristic British Army could be interesting! I'd like to see them in. -
I'm really impressed! The changes over the previous versions are incredible. I'm looking forward to seeing this game progress. Signs look very positive and encouraging at the moment. Top effort BI!

Hello all Is there a mission out there that has every in game unit in it? I seem to recall someone doing something with loads of vehicles and other units in it, but I can't for the life of me find anything like it. Thanks for any help :)
-
Hello Can anyone tell me if there is a map that has all of the in game vehicles in it at all? I seem to recall seeing one, but can't for the love of me find it. Thanks Kye

It's not working for me either. I have the the XEH jobbies as well. Is there a particular file they need to go in to?

SightAdjustment (windage+elevation)
kye replied to gmJamez's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
As you can see, a bit different to the example on page 12. I know the keycodes as well, they are the same as this: Now i'm not good at coding at all, as you can probably tell, so how do I make the above numerical values, fit into the code at the top of this post? Also, why can't I just change the definitions above and have the WASD key's work straight away? Is it because the arrow keys in the 'SightAdjustmentConfig.h' are linked to this example?: So for the WASD controls to work, I need to change the values in the code at the top, and then swap the forward slashes over between the arrow and WASD keys above? Sorry to harp on, come across stupid or whatever, but coding is something I didn't take easily to. EDIT: I tried exactly that as well. I removed the forward slashes, saved the file, launched the game, and got the same damn error again. I made a completely fresh install of the mod, so that they installed into the root file of ArmA as mentioned. However, I see two file that concern me a bit. They are: 'SightAdjustment_AutoInit' and 'Extended_Init_EventHandlers' What does these do exactly? Hi did you already find a solution for this problem, because I have exactly the same problem. I cannot change the key's because when I open the file with for example WinPBO there is no keyconfig in the 'SightAdjustmentConfig.h'. This file is empty!! When I open the main pbo file with notepad I see the key config but when I change them, I receive the same error code as you do. I haven't found a solution yet, no. . It's not obvious to me at all what needs doing. I've tried everything I have read here. -
I belive that it is caused by a confliction of the standard recticle, and the recticle that comes in one of the zipped files. Delete the newer of the two and it should work fine

How do we open up the missions in the editor so that I can tweak them? So far the cbpo has converted the missions I have from pbo to .sara Opening them in the editor is the bit i'm stuck with Thank you

SightAdjustment (windage+elevation)

There should be one on the first few pages of this thread -
Hello all. I wanted to add all of the mission I have had to download from servers in order to play on them, into my own MPmission folder, so that I can host the missions among friends. However, as I look in the save folder that is in my documents, I see that the folder each mission is kept in is there, but the mission file it's self is missing. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thank you

YES! It works!! Brilliant stuff. Thank you very much!

No joy there. For some reason there is no local settings folder. Strange.

SightAdjustment (windage+elevation)
kye replied to gmJamez's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Well that didn't work either. I have put the addons into the root arma folder, put the names of them into the target line, and they do run with the game. However, still can't get the controls to change and have the sight adjustment addon on work. The same error as I have posted above still comes up. Now I have looked at page 12, and from what I can see there, to what I can see in my own pbo file makes no sense. Thats probably because the quoted code on page 12 is out of date. Now I tried looking in 'SightAdjustmentConfig.h', but which bit?? There are loads! I think this is the bit I need. This is taken from my own pbo As you can see, a bit different to the example on page 12. I know the keycodes as well, they are the same as this: Now i'm not good at coding at all, as you can probably tell, so how do I make the above numerical values, fit into the code at the top of this post? I've read your post that I replied to in detail, so what I said was wrong . Erm, I have noticed something a tiny bit off, but i've not been fussed by it. It's out by 1 MOA as you say, but I have put that down to something I was doing.

SightAdjustment (windage+elevation)
kye replied to gmJamez's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
This isn't working at all, and i'm sick to my back teeth of all these different error messages. Can someone tell me of how to install each addon- where they go, how to do it etc etc? I'm using the sightadjustment, ballistics and scope fix mods Thanks EDIT: I have the sight adjustment file in the main part of AA's directory. The ballistics and scopefix addons are located in the addon folder. I have put '@GMJ_SightAdjustment' in the target line, and I get this error, the same error I keep getting:
