BattlEye Installers (A2:OA, A2: RFT, A2)
keefehb replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - MULTIPLAYER
I still cannot connect to server due to initialisation error. I've replaced the files manually following the instructions with the correct versions (OA etc) from battleye.com It appears from my .rpt that battleye isn't even starting as the last entry mentioning battleye was last night at 19:29 when I gave up. It says Battleye updated to 144. Any idea's before I throw my pc out the window? Oh and I know the current version is 145, thats the one I got from website :( -

Looking good mate :bounce3: -
I don't get lod bug with this and it plays smooth with everything on very high. But it keeps randomly freezing

This is sort of off topic but I am so tired of seeing people with 8xxx cards pandered to. Â Â Nvidia only releases drivers for them now and it has been over 1 year since they released a driver for anyone with a 79xx card. My video card is less that 1 year old and cost me over $400 and it is abandoned by Nvidia. Â Hopefully BIS isn't following the same route and ignoring us too!! Â My 7900 has texture and LOD problems too with Arma! Thats not strictly true.... Forceware Windows XP 160.02 (2007-05-17 )

There are new vista drivers out that people are praising, 158.42 32bit 64bit I've not tried them yet. (downloading now) but i've read on guru3d's forum that people are having much better performance in other games. Also sli might just work too
-
I can't play until it's fixed i know it sounds mad but i really hate playing on a pc i spent a fortune on with normal settings. I've noticed the game stutters before the textures go bad for me though....

I have 2x 8800 gts, 2gb ram and vista 64 bit. I've not used SLI much at all tbh as i've found it to be very unstable with everything. I hate having my gfx card sitting there doing nothing though Edit - oh and i'm using same version of arma as u
-
I thought i had it running in sli already lol? maybe not though... Oh there are some new drivers kicking about Windows XP 160.03 Vista 32bit 160.03 Vista 64bit 160.03 << i'm getting these atm. People have had better results in vista anyway with other software, maybe people could try em out and let us all know in this thread any difference with Arma with and without SLI enabled? I'll post my results when i get a chance to try em out

Speed Up SATA Hard Drives in Windows Vista
keefehb replied to slingblade20000's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Nice find, thanks mate -
I've started to notice lod errors now Only when there is alot going on though, and it seems to fix it self most of the time. can be a bit irritating though, especially since i'm a perfectionist and need everything to be running on full detail and working ok lol
-
It sounds crazy but my pc started doing this awhile ago because the PSU was full of dust :s I'd check that too, they can be hard to clean though
-
Well tried it out with everything on very high except aa an af and it seemed fine, no lod bug and no noticeable fps problems. I never had the distance all the way up, had it at roughly 2500 They seem fine so far anyway, i even flew fast and low in a jet over some of the towns and couldn't see any lod problems hehe I'm using vista 64 bit btw as i seen there are xp ones too I'll try it more tommorrow when i get in from work and have more time to make it break, looking forward to seeing how others find these drivers.
-
downloading atm, will see whats what and get back to you's
-
Yeah i thought that lol, these are xp version of the vista ones i have already
-
so these will work under vista or am i reading this wrong?
-
I might be seeing this all wrong but vista users should maybe consider more than 2gb? I have vista and 2gb of ram and tbh arma runs like shit sometimes

ArmA: Combat Operations & able to play together??
keefehb replied to blix2006's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
Anyone know why the EU/UK versions have a different name from the US one? Seems an odd thing to do to me lol -
I keep sidebar closed all the time mate hehe, i really hate that thing It seems to be ok if i just keep everything on normal, bit annoying, but i'm glad i'm finally getting to play
-
As in non Bomemia op flashpoint? looks like cgi
-
Ok thanks mate. I'll give them both a shot
-
I have 2 gigs of ram, so would i use -maxmem=1024? Even though i'm using vista which uses ram like crazy?
-
I still can't play because of the lod bug Not seen anyone mention this is awhile? has there been any known fixes or updates? http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/9567/omgzqt6.jpg My system is Amd 64 5200 x2 2gb ram 2 x 8800 gts Windows vista 64

Well i was happily playing away there with the beta patch and i started getting the lod bug again was like oh no's. So i stopped playing and went back to 1.05 and was playing through most of the training missions without a problem, until i started the pilot one http://img248.imageshack.us/my.php?....pf5.jpg It looks like bloody buster from Mythbusters is gonna take me for a nice ride in his blackhawk (oh and feel free to take the piss about me doing the training missions :P)
