Key Dutch replied to pvt.pile's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
man u not need have 8800 to run game. i run ArmA on 1400x1050 resolution all game textures and details on higest lvl with AA x2 Adaptive AA On/preformance AF x 16 with High Qualaty AF On and its run with out problems, nice and smoth. -
well, when i OC my CPU for only 5%, i had 800 points incrise in 3DMark05. and its from 2.4 to 2.5 MHz, by all calculation its must give 3000+ points
-
No... My 5000+ never shows over 60% on a single core with ArmA. ill tell u tomorrow. but if look at 3DMark05 with AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ my system scrore only 13455 points. hope new CPU (6000+) will incrise preformance considerably.
-
hmmm, intresting. i just order Athlon 64 X2 6000+, should come tomorrow. wonder if its give visible  incrise in preformance, in ArmA.

Quality rig - disastrous performance in ArmA

your going to change your mind about vista when all games become DX10 compatable. your going to need vista so dont be a XP fan boy and later cry for the need for vista  LOL,  btw DX10 run nicly under XP, just use ur hands, if not for rebuild it, alteast for searching net. there  u find DX10 for XP. anyway, DX10 games, fully DX10, would not be relised for 2-3 years. as long DX10 was relised risently, all game, wich in develompment ,will base on DX9. plas  Game companys not stupid lose money, to relise games only for DX10, how many peeps have DX10 cards? probably only 4% out of all gamers. there ur ansfer, there would be at least 2-3 years, plas its just enouth time for Microsoft patch all holes in Vista, would not be surprise if they relise, by this time, new Windows. there for no point rush and by DX10 cards, by this time they will relise another 2 genurations. -
Yeah, sure. Every other software I use, works fine on 64bit Vista. Also I'll lose 1GB of memory with 32bit XP. actauly u lose not 1Gb, u lose only bout 800MB RAM on XP , and if take in acount Vista request duble ammount RAM than XP, u will ,actualy, square on RAM.

i dont know if someone allready advice this, if yes, im sorry. dual booteble disk Vista and XP that would solve ur problem.

Quality rig - disastrous performance in ArmA
Key Dutch replied to icebreakr's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
i belive Arma, run better on single video card and single core CPU, than on any of  latest dual or quad core CPU and SLI/CrossFire cards, look like its do not support dual and quad core CPU. same with video cards, u have better prefeormance form single card then from SLI/CrossFire configuration. there for solution, use single video card, and if u have dual/quad core CPU, for better preformance u can OC ur CPU. from all what was sed is concluded, Arma was not build for: 1. Vista 2. SLI/CrossFire 3. Dual/Quad core CPU -

its not software unfriendly, its peeps hands grow from wrong place. or they fogot install drivers for them. (hands.sys) i feel ok with my rig, manage run with max.details with 1600x1200 resolution , AA x2 (with Adaptive AA "ON"), AF x16 (with High Quality AF "ON") -
yeh, for star u can read this : http://overclock.net/amd-general/91-ultimate-overclocking-guide.html

Does a Geforce 8600GTs run the game good
Key Dutch replied to Dudester's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
hmmmm strarge, i run game on 1600x1200 with max details on x1950xtx uber-limited edition. and its go just fine. -
from ATI tech.Inc. there was special offer 789$ for 2 x X1950XTX uber edition (one of them CF ready)
-
cant use tool tray, its block my vidio card speed. in 2d my card have 506/594(1188) Mhz in 3d its have 700/1100(2200) Mhz and if i use tool tray, its block clock speed at 2D setting , even for 3D. X1950XTX uber edition have diferent BIOS compere with standart X1950XTX
-
look there is to many companys, and to many dev.teams , each use they owen enging, and if they ignor Crossfire/SLI technology, its hard for ATI/nVidea to fix they overlooked mistakes. its same with AGEIA PhysiX cards , if game do not support this future, u can do whatever u want, but its not gona work. i belive development of Arma was started B4 CF/SLI apire widely on market, that why its do not support this configuration, same with STALKER , its do not support too, couse its was in development for 4 years.
-
that couse ATI tech. Inc X1950XTX uber-edirion do not supported by any of video drivers , exept 6.18 version. (at least windows consider this drivers,6.18, most suitble, than any of latest drivers), so basicly i do not have chose, am i?
-
man, its not ATI problem, game was dev. with out crossfire or SLI support, when u use Crossfire or SLI u get estra sharpness in details ,but lose preformence (FPS). and no drivers will sort this. game simply do not support this configurations.
-
who care? 60FPS, human eye cant see difference 60 or 600, its same for u, as long its higher than 26FPS.
-
wonder if we talking here bout diplay drivers or CCC? i use ccc 7,6 with 6.18 display drivers. work perfect, be onest never have problem anyway.
-
there is no AA from the CCC that works in Arma. Set your AA and AF in the CCC to app pref. Â There isnt a DX tribuff setting in ATI drivers. Its only for OGL. And there isnt any different driver for the "uber" edition. The uber edition has a different bios, its OCed. realy? so why do i re-install my drivers evety bloody time, when ATI relise new CCC? couse its can proparly detect my video card. and u tell me there not different drivers? do u have this cards? and bout AA if u set them for app. pref. u will have slite reduce of FPS, compere if u set them for AAx2, thx for advice, i allready bin try that. P.S. and if u do have this uber editions video, go to Adapter/settings/drivers and try update ur drivers, and see wich drivers ur system will prefer supliyed with CCC or origenal from CD.
-
i use X1950XTX uber-limeted edition. with 7.5 and hot fix, have no problems, probably couse i have different dirvers, its special drivers for limited edition. my settings: AA x 2 Adaptive AA "on, preformance" AF x 16 (additionaly i use High Qualaty AF) Waite for vertical refresh "on" triple buffering "on" resolution 1280x1024 avegage FPS 29-32 all settings on highest as posible, range 2500 GFX clock speed: 700/1100 (2200) VPU/memory P.S. had x1950Pro b4, and run on 6.11 drivers was working ok, but not sure if leak was present.

Nice video editing, but random voice..... at first was hard to read subs. and listen to rasndom voice not related to subs.... Â most of random voices and all this bull shit bout Zona, lab X16,17 and bunker was tankig from STALKER. actualy all voices completely out of movie line. only backround voices can be attached to battle. but i give credit for video, made it very nice.

Install 1.08 patch right now or wait for fix?
Key Dutch replied to BF2_Trooper's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Surely, you can't be serious? serious or not, but fact is single CPU core preform better than dual or quad core CPU, and most of players with high end video cards expirenced a lot of trubble, compere with old cards. be onest i have no ideas what realy going on, i just guess. And im not tslking bout SLI or CrossFire, u cant use them at all, if u do its garanty drop of ur FPS nealy twice. -
yep as long its not lower than 27 FPS (not sure) its not make difference. that why i play on higest settings with 1600x1200 2500m distance, AA x 2 , Adaptive AA "ON" (preformence), AF x16 with High Quality AF (impruve texture sharpness and quality compare with standart AF), Wait for vertical refrash "ON", Triple buffering "ON". GFX Clocks: 700MHz VPU 1100MHz Memory

hehe i was thinking u need have at least e6600 to avoid butlenek with 8800 cards, however even e6600 would not help here, as i hear Arma do not support dual or quad core CPUs, there for, i guess, ur GFX overflow ur CPU with data, that why we, all who have high end GFX, in big shit. compere with old GFX , like 7600, and single core CPU, wich preform better than out high tech. stuff.
