Briefing At 1400 hrs today while on a diplomatic mission A transport helicopter went down over island of Stratis, The passenger list was classified but I can tell you it included the Secretary General and the Omega file. Due to the current situation on Stratis we can not launch a standard SAR mission so thats where your team comes in. We picked you because your the best. We want you to get in behind enemy lines, find out where the Secretary General is and extract him if possible. But your priority is the obtaining the Omega file, the enemy must never know it is somthing more then propaganda. We will give you your first task when you have your feet on the ground. Good luck, Allied Command is counting on you. Features It's dynamic. It selects nearby locations to create objectives but never the same one twice. Adjustable parameters like enemy head count and skill. Respawn on leader or at last checkpoint. Tonic's Virtual Ammo System is included as an option. This is a four pack of missions. Mission Names: Evolution Red Evolution Blue Evolution Red QG (Queens Gambit) Evolution Blue QG (Queens Gambit) Game mode: MP: Coop 1-30 Addon's required: Queens Gambit for the QG versions. Respawn: Base description: Air Land and Sea combat. Features: - A rank system based off the players score that unlocks vehicles and weapons as the player gains higher ranks. - Automatic vehicle servicing anywhere in the base area (Airport) - Dynamic groups, players can join other players groups while in the game. - Recruited AI, players can recruit AI units if they are leaders and have a high enough rank. - Side missions there are multiple random generated side missions that leaders can pick from. - Scores for everything, you get scores for completing main objectives, secondary objectives, side missions transporting and repairing!! - The mission remembers you , so if you disconnect and come back later your score and rank is remembered. - Missile Cam for hellfires GBU bombs and stingers. - Incoming missile warning sound for all aircraft. - Optional 4 hour day mode. - Synced time for all clients and jip players. - Dynamic Weather System --(Main) Improvments 1. I believe it can help the cpu if the units are not attempting path finding or enemy tracking/engaging. -

For nearly the last 2 months solid they have hosted test versions of evolution at there own expense. I don't think anyone should have to be the only people to have to fund the development of evolution with cash for everyone else to enjoy so I think it would be a nice gesture if some of the community helped cover these server costs. Probably the large circles around towns. They are useful to let you know where to search for enemy and also to quickly indicate at a glance if a town is clear as they disappear then.

@Deady about the quoted names, There may be a way to detect them and remove them from the saving system, then they could still play but the game would not remember them. The problem is you cant detect a charector in a string in arma script. but there may be another way. I was working on napalm but got sidetracked maybe ill add that some time. Thanks for all your comments and observations people, Some good ideas. Anything mentioned will be considered in any future updates.

as I said about parachuter's before. It seems theres a random generic (built into the game) bug that will lock up a server if you use them in missions a lot. I have no way of fixing this as i don't even know what the problem is. All i know know is the mission will end now before a server locks up and dies. If you want to have parachuter reinforcements just play versions 1 of red and blue. Very little else changed.

jav can be fired in 2 modes , one is an arc trajectory and the other flys direct to target, direct mode seems to be 100% accurate, to fire it in direct mode get a lock but don't raise the scope and press fire. Seems to me jeeps and trucks are the hardest to hit as maybe it flys thro the crew area when theres a soft top roof?

That is odd Deady. They should be removed from the game if they have no human leader now. If it happens again you can open my squad and click Leave squad to fix it and make a new squad for yourself.

Fk Andersson in over 8 months of testing evolution I have never heard of any of your problems before. I cant test on the linux dedicated server as i don't have a Linux box. If you restart evolution on a windows box dedicated there can often be problems tho I advise not using the #restart or #reassign command and instead use only #missions to restart and reselect the mission from the list. In detail, there is no way you can not earn a score for killing enemy in any game mode unless your side has become (side enemy) from TK'ing your red on the map in this case. I do not edit the destruction effect of target training in any way. Maybe you would be better posting in the Linux beta server thread if there is one. (needs a pass the buck Smiliey)

Ive played this version a bit now here and there and have made some fixes to smooth things out. 1. Reinforcements bugs fixed. 2. AI squadmates disappear when they should. 3. New halo anims. 4. Enemy is more defensive. 5. Enemy manned MG guns. You can download version 2 of red and blue from the first post. Theres no QG version 2 yet.

Theres a lot of scripts starting up at the very start i suppose its possibil pariso laggs if you go there to fast alone. I'm going to release a bug fix for the blue and red soon. The parachuter's seem to be causing lagg problems I think. I cant work out why they function fine for a few hours then go bad tho. something native maybe.
