For me the most annoying thing are those empty casings appearing next to weapon and falling stright down. Empty casings should travel horizontaly as well, some of them quite far.

I agree that those round smoke puffs looks terrible. I really would like them to be changed in of the upcoming patches.

It was obvious for me the BIS have to hire a Guy who fixed ArmA1 terrible effects :) They should also hire one of the "sound mods Guys".

Two things... First, thank you for Your work vo.2. The mod sounds great on YT. Second, We had very poor sounds in ArmA1, luckily moders replaced it with awesome sound mods. Two yeras have passed, BIS told us that sounds in Arma2 have been reworked and now they top notch. It's been like 10 days since first release and some talented moder replace original sounds with much better ones. BIS worked on it at least 2 years and it took a nonpaid moder less then 2 weeks to make better sounds. Can anyone tell me what should I think about that? PS. I'm not trying to be malicious. I will still buy ArmA2 as soon as it will be released at my country. But things like this makes me wonder....

You know what Guys? Based on what I saw on Youtube (omg the waiting is killing me! >.<) ArmA2 building destruction system is not perfect but its far far beyound I expect it will be! Good job BIS! Just make sure to fix all bugs and I will be v. happy with this system. PS. Can you imagine large urban scenario with Marines assaulting buildings through holes made by satchel charges?! :rolleyes:

Go to gametrailers.com and watch OF2: DR E3 Dev walkthrough videos. You will get Your answers why You should buy ArmA2. Lets those two quotes from the dev comentary speaks for those videos - '' Ive taken the hit to my head, its nothing sirious but i am bleading badly'' "I'm gona take this radar station out, as we expected its heavy defended. However ther's a little red barrel there and we know what red barrels do, they blow up." - just after that the Guy shots this "red barrel" which causes huge fireball explosion completly leveling radar station. Before I saw those vide i though I'll buy both ArmA2 and OF2 : DR but now i think I'll skip OF2. -
I'm not an expert but sabot is anti armor projectal without any fragmentation and You'll have to score direct hit if You want to harm any soldier with it.

I didn't played the game yet but based on youtube vids I must say that I love motion blur and head bobbing effects. This and awesome equipement clacking sound while moving makes simple runing a very immesive experience. -
ROFL Instant classic :D And yes, I also noticed that terrible avenger sound, I hope BIS will replace it in one of first patches becaus most sounds are porettty good and I was hoping not to use sound mods in ArmA2.

have You seen this MP video? I looks great but one thing bugs me, uninteruptable animation like in ArmA1 :/ You have to finish you volt over fence beforeyou die, in one moment guy even ended reloading animation during death animation :/

I agree with OP, the death animations in ArmA1 were terrible, I hope they will be changed in ArmA2. Nobody is asking for hollywood style death, if ArmA engine cant handle ragdoll then so be it but please fix those animations, make more and tweak them, they shuld to vary, not the only one spin animation, it looks like synchronous swimming when you shot few soldiers standing next to each other . And please fix this bug with soldier ending his current animation ( reloading, throwing greande etc) before death animation kicks in.

My bigest concearn about animations is lack of reloading animations, None of released videos is showing soldier actualy reloading his rifle so I'm afraid we will have ArmA1 style of reloading ( soldier waving his empty left hand around the rifle for few seconds) :/

From my very limited experience with real weapons I might say that Ak47 is really friggin LOUD, I thought it will be loud but it was louder then I expected. The shoting sound in ArmA1 is very weak and  way to quiet. And a bit offtopic. One more thing, when I saw my fiends shoting AK47 i notced that it eject shell cassing with pretty high speed and they land far away from shoter. In Arma it looked like shell casings were appearing next to ejector and just fall to the ground verticaly. I hope it will be fixed in ArmA2.
