  1. I've tried your mission. It's has lots of potential, but unfortunately I couldn't play on because the AI just doesnt want to do what I want them to do. It's too much a chore for me to continue mission. The AI never wants to pick up gear from the body I want to. Even when I let them stand at the body. They just walk to the other body. I cant play on with these AI flaws.


  2. I really like this DAC addon.

    I have been thinking of porting over the demo sector control battle (last demo mission) over to porto. So I looked in the manual where I couldn't find any entry about how you did it.

    Could you explain the functions (triggers) a bit more which I have to implement to get a DAC sector control battle?

    and do human artillery calls really work by ie. if player clicked on map, activate trigger with artillery scriptcall.

    That part is also not so clear for me in the manual.

  3. I've got Vista Ultimate 64bit with a geforce 8800 GTS 320 mb and I don't have any real problems at all.

    The only thing that bugs me sometimes is the LOD bug. Arma and the Nvidia drivers aren't fully optimised yet for virtual memory in vista. With LOD I mean, sometimes when you turn around you see the low LOD (level of detail) texture of a building which plops to the high LOD texture after a few seconds. But I don't have that often. Anyway Arma runs fine.

    I use the latest drivers of Nvidia 163.xx(?) and only have an AMD athlon 64 X2 3800+ with 2048 mb dual channel (633mhz?) of ram.

    So i'm a happy user as long BIS and Nvidia do something to definitely fix the LOD bug.


  4. I love the sounds, but please fix the conflict issues that were posted above and also the helicopter quietness issues also posted above. Your mod is good enough that I will continue to use it despite these issues, but please fix them soon. Thanks.

    I totally agree, this is a great sound mod with sounds which I really love (they sound so amazing).

    But fixing the issues would be very great.

    Yea, it's hard to find an ammo crate when its VERY dark during night time in the mission. It's so dark that I cant even see which spawn points I can select, I only see the already selected spawnpoint.


  6. I've tried your mission and got the following problems:

    When I start the mission I get the error <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">no entry config.bin/cfgvehicles.BLB-DSAS3_HSHEM

    The other problem is that I dont have the options to choose for support options during missions. I can only ask for the current mission status and for extraction (when I've finished my mission).

    I get lots of lag in the oilfields after staying there for a while. (Framerate of 1 to 10 while i've got an AMD athlon x2 3800+, 2 gigs of ram and a nvidia 6800GS), but thats probably the fault of the mapmaker who made that map.

    The rest of the mission is great. I really liked the first hidden objective.


  7. i had the same problem. what i did was uninstall the game then went to my regedit and deleted all files with arma in them,except the 2 that are the file need to install. then reinstalled patched to 1.02, added language patch and then it worked. hope it helps.

    My specs:

    AMD athlon64 x2 3800+

    250gb HDD

    Nvidia 6800 GS

    onboard Realtek AC97 soundcard (but use USB headset GN Netcom)

    2 gig of dual channel ram (kingston)

    Arma 1.02 German with language patch but it also doesnt work without that language patch

    DirextX 9.0c (newest)

    All my ports for gamespy are forwarded.

  9. @Gart... OMFG! WTF? What are your pc-specs? If I would image ArmA runs with 7 fps ... Wow I would kill myself... That is crazy... You make me fear that my pc won't handle it!

    Samsung SpinPoint SP2504C - 250GB SATA II , Sound Blaster Audigy 4

    He has an average computer, but can still run the game in normal with a resolution of 1280 by 1024.

    I've got a comp with an:

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+

    Geforce 6800 GS

    2 gig of dual channel ram

    Same video cart, but faster cpu and ram.

    So im not worried, if Gart can run the game in normal biggrin_o.gif
