Your review begs the question. Why haven't you got access to the online portion of the game? -
Thats cool. Any plans for a printed version for those of us not blessed with a printer?
-
Sorry, but that video does not prove the AI cheated. When you fired the first shot some of the enemy soldiers were directly facing you, so could easily have seen your muzzle flash.

I'm Now 100% Onboard With ArmA 2

To refer to OFP as a nightmare is rather surprising considering that it was a game that they were more than happy to publish, and even decided to capitalize on the games success by re-using the title! -
Maybe an additional paramater listing game settings should be added to that list

Will my PC Run this? What CPU/GPU to get? What settings? System Specifications.
Killerwatt replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
I wouldn't take to much note of an article that cant even get the name of the game correct. -
It cant be stressed enough. There is a difference between cover and concealement and you must learn this difference if you want to survive. As soon as you fire on the enemy, you have potentialy given up any concealement you may have had and it will be possible that you will be struck by the first shot. On the other hand cover will stop the enemy being able to hit you with their bullets, but may also prevent you from shooting any of them. So to be effective, you must use a combination of cover and concealement when planning and executing your attacks. Most importantly, remember that cover usually provides concealement but concealement wont necessarily provide cover.

Well said, I wish many of the nay-sayers on the forums would wise up to that.

Useful radio communication, more human. Examples:

My suggestions: For long distance contacts; "Man! Out to the front, front right, right, right rear, rear, left rear, left, left front". Whichever is relevant. For middle distance contacts; "Man! To the front, front right, right, right rear, rear, left rear, left, left front". Whichever is relevant. For close in contacts "Man! Close to the front, front right, right, right rear, rear, left rear, left, left front". Whichever is relevant. -

graphics bugs with ATI 4800 series (4850/4870/4890)
Killerwatt replied to fjaekel's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
For what its worth guys this problem also exsists on my HIS ATI Radeon X1650 PRO 512mg AGP card. when it occurs youcan be facing a particular direction and turn and everything is back to normal. turn back and the problem returns or even moving into a particular spot triggers it the two steps back and it disappears again. -

I think we all need to stop pressing the panic button. Ive got my 505 copy on pre-order and I dont see any reason to cancel. Even if those reports are totally accurate, (and lets face it, a game that has a problem in the installation procedure can hardly be reviewed properly if it isnt installed properly) I have every faith in BIS that they will make every effort to rectify the situation. After all they havent let us down yet with their level of support and commitment. They are not one of those companies that simply walk away from a game as soon as it is on the shelves. So theres really no need for all this hysteria.
