    ARMA 2 Healing System?

You can have various levels of injury which may result in being unable to walk, or even being completely incapacitated. If you are injured badly enough and dont recieve treatment in time you can die. I was pinned down by enemy fire and one of my team (AI) was shot and injured. I could see him writhing in agony but was unable to get to him immediately because I was under fire. By the time I had managed to dispose of the threat to me, I had just reached his position when he stopped moving and died.
  2. Great to see this released. Is it downloadable so it can be read offline?
  3. Yeah but they are more expensive aswell!
  4. I voted for patch because hopefully that can then be incorporated into the demo and so show off the sim in its best light.

    TrackIR 5 ArmA2 Thread!

Latest driver version will not support tir3. So does anyone know when next driver version will be released as Natural point say that one will support tir3? I have Tir3 and after having just invested in a new system, it will be a little while before I can update my TIR.
  6. Hmmm... I see the ATI 4870 2 gb card isn't in that list. I would have liked to have seen a comparison between that and the ATI 4890 1gb card
  7. Just check your order status on Amazon.
  8. Amazon.co.uk have emailed me to inform me my copy has been dispatched today. :)
  9. Running on very high memory solved it for me on a 2gb ATI card. Default gave me the artifacts in towns.
  10. What he means is single core twin threaded.

    There is no demo!

Bye then! Hope you enjoyed your short visit.
  12. Thats true. I hope BI send him a free copy of their first official addon.
  13. @Soulfly. Noctua NH-U12P CPU Cooler SE1366 is a twin fan cooler and seems to be very popular with lots of overclockers. Just google it for reviews.
  14. I dont know why you guys are spending 3 and 5 grand on a rig when you can buy the components and build it for half the price. even paying a computer professional will only cost around £50 max to build it. I built this system for £1200 give or take a couple of pounds. Antec Nine Hundred Two Case, Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 Vapor-X 2GB, Akasa PowerMax 850W Power supply, Asus P6T Motherboard LGA1 366 Intel X58 ATX RAID SA, Intel Core i7-920 D0 Step Processor (8M Cache), Corsair XMS3 3GB (3x1024M B) DDR3 Memory 1600MHz, Noctua NH-U12P CPU Cooler SE1366, LG GH22NP20 22x DVDRW/ RAM, Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1.5TB Hard Disk Drive 72 (Two), SB Audigy SE OEM Creative Sound Blaster, Windows XP Home Edition. Now at less than half the price of these rigs mentioned here, and with those specs this rig is just asking to be overclocked and will easily run at 3.6ghz. So save yourselves a fortune guys and build your own or get one built for you.
  15. Will placing two or more ambient civilian modules increase the population of civilians? As it is just now, placing one module in Chernogorsk seems to create a very sparce civilian presence.
  16. I remember about 8 or 9 years ago a company called Sybex used to release strategy guides for games which would go into detail about how to get the best from the game. Explaining all the functions and how the editors worked in detail etc. I think we could really use something like that now for ArmA2. You know, something that would walk you through the various aspects of the whole game from A to Z step by step. I know I would buy such a book.
  17. You may just get away with it but I can assure you you will want to upgrade. lol
  18. Pentium 4 twin threaded 3.4ghz with an AGP based ATI Radeon X1650 pro 512 mb card will run it at lowest settings on 1200 by 800 at 16:10 ratio. but you will want to upgrade.

Option for Plane / Helicopter steering

I've often thought that the digital steering contributed a lot to the AI's abysmal path finding in vehicles.
  22. I hope this means that the CWR versions of the original OFP islands will be able to be ported over also.
  23. Mc Sonar, you say it was changing your drivers that gave you the performance hit but bear in mind you also went from winxp64 to winxp32. how do you know it wasn't the change to winxp32 that made the difference?

    We need a strategy guide.

I agree a walkthrough of each mission would be pretty useless. What I had in mind was more like a combination of Dslyecxi's and Mr Murray's guides into one publication with perhaps an additional section on how to get the best out of the control interface.
  25. Cool. The reason I was asking was that if it was indeed of "questionable origin", then the gameplay could well be very different from a normal copy thus rendering any review useless.
