    Track IR 4 not working by default

    Go to your TIR and click on updates. In the dropdown menu, select Check for game updates. Restart TIR and you should be fine. I got caught out the same way. I had only checked software updates before.

  5. From My previous post but is more relevant here. Ive just been running the benchmark mission a few times and thought I would present my findings. First off here are my rig settings. Antec Nine Hundred Two Case, Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 Vapor-X 2GB, Akasa PowerMax 850W Power supply, Asus P6T Motherboard LGA1 366 Intel X58 ATX RAID SA, Intel Core i7-920 D0 Step Processor (8M Cache), Corsair XMS3 3GB (3x1024M B) DDR3 Memory 1600MHz, Noctua NH-U12P CPU Cooler SE1366, LG GH22NP20 22x DVDRW/ RAM, Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1.5TB Hard Disk Drive 72 (Two), SB Audigy SE OEM Creative Sound Blaster, Windows XP Home Edition. updated to SP3 No overclocking done and everything running at stock speeds but I disabled the soundcard and used the onboard sound. With each different setting I ran the benchmark three times just to be sure as there are minor variations in the action each time. First I set everything to max and distance at 10000m. Results were 16FPs 18FPs 19FPs Next was a more realistic distance of 3500m. Results were 25FPS 25FPS 25FPS Next was a smaller distance of1600m. Results were 26FPS 26FPS 27FPS Next I turned down texture detail to high, AA to normal, Shadows to high. and finally disabled post processing. Results at 10000m were 27FPS 28FPS 27FPS Results at 3500m. were 41FPS 41FPS 41FPS Results at 1600m were 50FPS 51FPS 52FPS Im not going to pass any comments or opinions on the demo. I am only presenting you with a rough guide as to what you can expect with different setups. I hope it helps someone get an idea of how their rig should be performing.

  9. Yes it seems that if a door has steps leading up to it then the civs often spawn stuck in the steps. I also found a dead hooker lying with her feet on the step and the rest of her body sticking out into the air level with the step her feet were on. I assume there was a problem when she was spawning and she was killed in the process as there was no one else around that was armed. This was in editor and I was the only soldier on the map.

  14. After 1.02 modules were moved to F7. @ NuclearDruid: With the civilian vehicles module the civs do get in and drive the vehicles on occasion. I have seen this a few times but it is quite rare.
  15. I have a problem on the shooting range in boot camp. As soon as the test starts (after I have used the fist magazine) The instructor says I failed as soon as the first target is shot (and hit). He just goes into a loop of offering me to start again. This happens repeatedly and I have even tried restarting the game but it still happens. Anyone else getting this?

    The feeling it invoked in me was very similar to the feeling I got the first time I ended up in Witchspace in the game "Elite", many years ago. Total detachement and aloneness. I couldn't help feeling I didn't belong here and I wanted to get back to my own "dimension" as it were. The occasional sight of normality such as a bird or butterlfy only served to reinforce that feeling.
  21. Thanks to all you staffers at BI for your dedication in getting this patch out to us. I am very impressed that you all kept going till the patch was released like that. I fully expected to see it emerge on Monday. Many of the larger software companies could learn a thing or two from you with regards to customer care. Top marks to you all, now go get some rest.

    @callaway, I would remove that order reference if I were you. Some unscrupulous person could perhaps use that in an unauthorised way.
