I had the same problems when i was using OpenDNS, problem went away when i switched to Google DNS servers instead. Maybe it will work for you too.

Just use the "Export Map as Image" option on the visitor project menu, then make a new project in L3DT. I use the "Blank designable map" in the new project menu in L3DT. Then import the .png as your heightfield. Just make sure your project parameters in L3DT match your imported image. (same map size, same max and min height...)

Thank you for a great guide! I have no experiance at all with these programs and did not even know what a DEM was before starting map editing for ARMA, and this tutorial helped me alot with some of the problems i have been having. If i had this tutorial when i started i think my map would have been done by now. :D Also, does anyone know a good place to get shapefiles for north america? The website in the tutorial have none.

Im not realy sure how useful i would be on such a project, i am just in the begining of learning about these things. Maybe later if i feel i am starting to know wth i am doing... ;)

Haha! finaly figured out what email i used for my old account! Thats my plan too atm, complete re-install. Seems i managed to restore my P drive from the wrong backup last time and i somehow got ARMA files mixed in, im suprised it still worked at all. I guess i could still sort it out manualy but will be much quicker to just nuke the whole thing and start over. Mikero: Thanks for the heads up, will make it that much quicker to get up and running again! I do not think there is much risk of that in this part of the forums, and your english seems ok to me.

I really like this island, but i have only played the 1.0 beta, as somone allready wrote earlier the link is down. Have been working on an Mfcti for Hailuoto, well i only merged an FDF Eastborder cti onto the island and edited for it to fit the island, works good, but there´s a few bugs i must correct before any possible release, plus i´m gona ask the author of the fdf eastborder cti if it´s ok, all credit will ofcourse go to him.
