That's interesting.  However, I don't think that it's so very unrealistic; in real life, sabot shells probably wouldn't hurt a huge group of soldiers.  But then again, I'm just speculating. [Edit: I rephrased it.  My first post wasn't very understandable. I hate this "HEY EVERYONE! EDITED BY SO-AND-SO" function. But then, I suppose it's necessary to prevent people from changing their posts' meanings.]

This is a Resistance question, isn't it? In Operation Flashpoint, once someone falls down, they stay down. Unless, that is, they merely went to prone position and then got up. But then you should have been able to see that they were still alive while in prone position. Do people get blown down while still alive in Resistance?

Excuse me, but what exactly is Ofpec?

I won't be able to buy Resistance anytime soon, and I am curious. Did they fix the appearance of the LAW rockets? In the original Flashpoint, they look exactly like the RPGs. In real life, they look like an actual rocket and not like a slim football with stabilizers.

I agree with Tex. If you want to play with a human team, why not fight another human team instead of the damn stupid AI?
-
Excuse me while I bump this up to page one again.

Where are these background mission?

Remember, there is more than just one cutscene that plays in the main menu. -

Hey stupid; in real life soldiers do not get spawnkilled. [Edit: Spelling]

Even the picture in the inventory?

Sorry for bumping this up after the debate is over, but this is the second time someone has mentioned Aaron Ash's modified A-10. I cannot find it anywhere, however. All of Aaron Ash's modifications are of tanks and such. Can someone link me to it, if it does indeed exist?

In America as least, special operations guys often carry several thousand rounds on their backs. Once more, if you do not wish to bother with reconstructing the flight model to make it realistic, please make a patch or two to make it flyable (*cough* rudder *cough*).

What's all this complaining about having to make twenty kills? I tried my very best in every mission, both Cold War Crisis and Red Hammer, to make as many kills as possible.
-
I never has a problem with that. And (even though I am a biased American pig) I liked the Russian campaign a lot better. The story isn't as good, but the missions are generally better.

Their official site, I believe, has the lyrics to one or two of the songs, but no more.

Kegetys, please give a straight answer. You may be wasting people's time that would be put to things that really matter in the long run, like Operation Flashpoint. *Grin*

I've got news for some of you who think that people here are mean spirited in general. This is the friendliest forum I have ever seen, and that is saying a lot. The only other forum I have seen that is this friendly is Sword Forum International. I come from Through the Looking Glass, the unofficial Thief forum. They are incredibly informed, and they are better with grammar and spelling, but there is too much of an "in crowd" mentality throughout their community. The Operation Flashpoint gaming community is also the friendliest I have seen, with the exception of the Red Baron 3D multiplayer. Go to Counterstrike or Soldier of Fortune, and you will enter a stupid world where the primary words in the standard vocabulary are "fuck" and "gay" and where everyone appears to be named "faggot." At least, they seem to think that that is everyone's name.

I am not interested in flight models and fairy bullshit like that.<span id='postcolor'> I don't need to ask how those two statements contradict each other. And there's nothing "fairy bullshit" about wanting to be able to fly the goddamn planes or wanting realism in the flight attributes of Operation Flashpoint. Don't tell me the usual speech about Operation Flashpoint not being based on flight, either. If they didn't want it to include flight, they wouldn't have added it. Operation Flashpoint is a well-rounded game, not a infantry and tank game. Although it would be nice to have a realistic flight model, I would settle for something I can fly with. Don't tell me that it can be done, because it can't, even with a joystick and pedals. You can't effectively fight in any of the fixed-wing aircraft in Operation Flashpoint. That statement is coming from a guy who does quite well in aerial combat games and took flying lessons for a short while. I have about fifteen flight hours, and that is enough to tell that even flying the Cessna in Operation Flashpoint is unrealistically hard. Having rudder control would be nice, for starters. A patch could fix that, but a drastically improved flight model would have to wait until Bohemia Interactive Studio's next game, assuming they will make another and that there are enough people who want a better flight model.
