I think I saw in one of the other topics on this forum, that the effective range is 300 meters, but I am not sure though.

Hissing sound? Is that the sound that u hear on pop-concerts, when they are adjusting the speakers/microphones? If so, I had that same terrible sound with the SB5.1 in Ghost Recon, under Windows ME.terrible sound, and it only was in indoor envriroments in the game, and it really hurts your ears.I never got it solved though...

Good story, but I guess u visit the wrong servers...I agree, its hard to find decent opponents/teammates, but once u found a nice group of people, u will have mega-fun with Flashpoint. The guys I play with ,definatly don't use CS tactics or whatever u wanna call it, we play as a team, and it makes the game so much more fun. But, as I said, the hardest part is to find the proper people to play with

I cried during the movie "Debbie goes Dallas "...it was heart-breaking

Hi again, Ok, I got me a new question about laser designators/LGB bombs; How do I aim the LGB bomb onto a target? I made me a simple mission, with an AI Black-Ops with Laser Designator, me as player in the A-10 LGB, and some empty trucks and stuff..Now ,when I let the AI aim with the laser, and I lock onto to targeted truck, when do I have to release the bombs? has anyone found out? I have been trying for over 2 hours, and didnt had a single hit ,lol... I have been playing Falcon 4.0 for quite a while , and in the game were also GBU/LGB bombs, but they were much easier to handle, because of the guiding system. Now I know that Flashpoint isn't a complex flightsim as Falcon is, but I think the A-10 needs some guide of guiding system that tells u when to release the bomb, since GBU's are freefall bombs and not powered...I have used the search engine, and checked Avonlady's site with info about bombing, no succes though. Thx P.S. I also found out that during testing, I saw that the AI doesnt always follows order, becuase sometimes he just won't use the Laser Designator, although it hangs on his back...and another thing, the times he does listen, why doesnt the soldier use the tripod when aiming with the Designator? When he aims with the laser, he holds it like a Law or RPG rocket on his shoulder.I tested this in Resistance, so mabye a new bug?

Yes, it can be a real pain in the ass when the game starts, and some ass takes the Chinook or UH-60 all for himself, leaving the rest of the team out of decent transport...Flashpoint is a tactic game, and needs teamwork.Too bad though, that that on most servers u join, most people just run to the nearest vehicle, and leave the rest behind....I recently joined a clan, with all teamplayers in it, and it makes the game 100000 times more fun ! We usually play Conquer the Town style maps, and the chopper makes a good transporter then! But, as u already said it yourself, most people just mess up...

I think the bullet would kill u if it would "fall" on your head, since the energy it costs the bullet to go up till the point it goes down again, would be almost the same amount of energy that it gains when going down again, or even more...

Also, did u check the temps in BIOS, or u got a program for that? BIOS will give u the exact temps..So get yourself an extra cooler, since the hotter the cpu gets, the shorter it will live..

Hiya all, I've been reading all this, and checked out the sites mentioned in the threads here, and saw some really cool guns/rifles , and now I am thinking of buying one .But the problem is that overhere in Holland, u can't buy any of this stuff ( as far as I know ) , and I don't know if it is legal..U aren't allowed to have real fire-arms, but I dunno about the airsoft guns...Should I just take the risk or would the post be checked if I would order me a gun via internet ?

Acceleration and constant high rpm runs are the most stressful uses of an engine. This is the time which the Pistons, Rings, Heads, Valve seats, Connecting Rods, Crankshaft, load bearings, heat from friction AND combustion, Â and Driveline are absorbing the stress of both the compression and combustion cycles. During the practice of engine braking the pistons, rings, heads, valve seats, rods, etc. are only enduring the punishment of the compression cycle as there is little combustion or none entirely with a fuel injection system which does not inject fuel when the rpms are above idle rpm and the throttle plate is fully closed. During engine braking you can actually exceed the redline or maximum rpms capability of an engine with little worry about causing damage to the engine. Engine braking can be used on manuals and automatic (This is what the selections of 3,2, L are for with automatics, that and when you want to restrict what gears the transmission with use such as steep hills and such) transmissions, however engine braking with an automatic can cause the torque converter to overheat with prolonged high rpms runs. Try learning to drive CDL requirement vehicles such as tractor-trailer rigs where you can have 16,18,21 gears to use. The use of engine braking or jake braking on tractor trailers rigs is highly important because of the weight of the vehicle and more importantly the load you can quickly find your air pressure for your brakes expended or your brakes overheated to uselessness if you rely soley on your brakes themselves instead of using engine braking. And I can tell you from experience that it is not enjoyable to be placed in that situation.<span id='postcolor'> Like I said, engine braking is completely illogical in regular passenger cars, you put stress on the entire drivetrain, including axels, differential, transmission, crankshaft, etc. When u talk about trucks etc. that's a different story (I said overheating and weak brakes). Â And no in automatics the gear selection was not intended for any engine braking (not in regular ones), trust me, I have build automatic transmissions myself for dragracing. If you brake with a normal automatic transmission you can wear out the clutch packs and the bands, as the pressure in the whole system is too low when the accelerator is not depressed. My sound advice to everyone here is do not engine brake unless your vehicle requires it.<span id='postcolor'> Sorry to say, but braking on the engine ain't gonna hurt your engine in any way, in fact, when driving a manual gear car u will be teached to use the engine to brake..And, when using the engine to brake, u will have much better control of the car then only braking with your brakes . And when u won't use the engine to brake, but just push the clutch in and brake , the engine will get less lubricated as well, since the revs will drop and so the oil pump will pump less oil.In Holland, where I live, most cars have manual gear selection, since they are far cheaper then the automatics. EDIT: I didn't saw u were talking about automatics, so forget my comment, although its true on manual gear transmissions
