  1. Welcome to the forums! I hope we can be helpful to some degree. You'll find this an extremely valuable resource and a friendly committed community.

Are you playing with any addons or mods? If so you need @CBA loaded.

Oh and for the future you should include some sort of brief description of your problem in the thread title instead of just "frustrating problem". Thanks!

  2. Nope it's a mipmapping issue, which is sort of like LODs for textures. Try setting your video memory on something lower or reducing the texture quality setting.
Try setting video memory to "default".

I remember reading that "very high" sets it to a fixed value but "default" just uses as much VRAM as possible, and by that possibly exceeding the "very high" setting.

If that doesn't work, just flush every time it happens, I guess.

Okay thank you guys I will try setting it to Default when I get home. If that doesn't work I'll try every video memory option before turning down texture quality. I will report back here with my findings.

  3. What do you use in the Nv Control panel? Why dont you use AA in game? Is FXAA on in your Nv Cp? Your Rez(19/10) and your settings on VH with only 1GB+ of Vidram is pushing it. It looks like your using AA(transparency) from the nv Cp. Try only in game? Also make sure your PCI-e Slot for your vidcard is set to 16?

I am using PPAA in game. It looks just as good as actual AA with half the performance cost. My Nvidia driver does not have forced AA on, though I am forcing x8 supersample transparency. I will try turning that off, but I'm pretty sure that will not affect this problem as actual AA is not enabled in game, only the post processing AA is enabled. My GPU will only fit into PCI-e x16 slots. I doubt it is set to anything other than that, but how would I check to be sure?

Out of curiosity, how can you tell I am using AA transparency in the driver? Is it that noticeable?

  4. I hope this is the right place for this question. The mission thread has been locked.

In the mission notes for Domination!2 it says artillery operators can call in artillery strikes while Alpha and Charlie squad leaders can call in support requests. I can not figure out how in the world to actually activate these features. If anybody can help I would be very appreciative. Thank you.

  5. Default. I think it autodetects.

Okay thank you I will set that now.

Also you might consider consulting your mipmap settings in your drivers software.

The only setting I see at all relevant to mipmaps is "Negative LOD Bias". Nvidia says in the tooltip "set to Clamp when anisotropic filtering is enabled for better image quality". I do already have it set to Clamp. The other option is Allow and it says this gives higher performance at the cost of quality. Texture Filter Quality is also set to High Quality.

This is the only application I have ever experienced this in.

  6. You can see here [iMAGE] I have very high settings enabled. I never have any performance problems thanks to a fairly powerful system overall. Even with a solid frame rate my textures will very often lose all quality and fidelity, turning into something like this [iMAGE]. I realize these are not the best pictures, so if you have any questions or need any further pictures please ask!

I do not know what to do since everything is already turned up to maximum settings. I get the feeling the game is automatically adjusting my visual fidelity for whatever reason. Maybe the game is under the impression my system is unstable or running poorly. As you can imagine, this is quite annoying. The game can look quite good, but it is always changing the level of detail on me so I cannot enjoy it.

    GTX 570 Classified Edition (OCed)

    AMD Phenom II X4 955 Deneb 45nm

    12GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)

    M4-CT256M4SSD2

    MSI 870A-G54

Oh and what setting should I choose for "Video Memory"? Very High or Default?

Thank you for your valuable time.

I should add this does not just affect the player model as shown in the screenshots above. This affects literally every texture on everything, even the terrain.

  7. Try them and see. The T-10 is round and the MC-5 is steerable. The MC-5 also takes longer to open.

I just tested in the editor and it appears the round T-10 actually takes longer to deploy its canopy. The MC-5 is almost instantaneous to deploy. Why would we use the T-10 I wonder. Maybe it has less chance to hurt you on landing because it has a larger canopy?

  8. my friends and I are fans from Patrol Ops 2, but we have a problem. We cannot finde any civils oder IEDs on the maps, we search in Takistan and Chernarus, in the attitude is civil enabeld but we find not
    Which version are you using?
We are use the new version 2.5

Same problem here. Also using ACE.

  9. Does this work combined with ACE and JTD fire and smoke mod?

Also, does this mod actually work without any issues? :\

Yes it works very well with both ACE and JTD. However you should note JTD and Blastcore do not sometimes work perfectly together. Sometimes the JTD smoke will be of very low quality when Blastcore is enabled. I am not entirely sure why this happens. Please also note Blastcore aircraft and fuel fire effects do not work with ACE. I actually prefer this because the Blastcore fuel fire effect is pretty broken. It does not give off any light at night but flares your NVG so you can not see anything whatsoever.

  10. Err, no. I'm not interested in MP mission making anymore (and it was just a few minutes on my harddrive before it went into /dev/null again) :)

Understandable, but sad to hear it Xeno! You definitely made the best MP missions around.

Does this mean A3 will not get the same epic Domination we all know and love? I ask because as far as I know your Domination is really the only Domination for A2.

Question: What does the "No Revive Punish" parameter do?

  11. I mean with the new standalone engine....

Nobody on these forums has experience with the new engine. We cannot help you there.

And the texture will suffer, what about the guy who made the Fallujah map?

The (awesome) Fallujah map is possible thanks to most of the buildings being from ArmA1. Generally speaking they are lower quality and have no interior at all. ArmA2 also has different damage states for its buildings (for example shoot a SABOT at a corner that corner falls off) while the ArmA1 buildings do not. If the building is destroyed it just collapses into the terrain leaving behind rubble.

  12. In the editor you can place down an "Ambient Combat" module and synchronize it with the player character. You then have a completely dynamic evolving experience with dynamic objectives happening for you to complete. You may also run into dynamically generated armies fighting each other. All of this is done by simply adding a module from the "Modules" list to the right of the editor and synchronizing it with your player. Simple as can be.

These mission objectives can involve rescuing a POW or downed pilot, clearing out an enemy held camp, patrolling an area, targeting an enemy base for artillery, and more.

above all, afaik there is no easy command to put all weapons (incl. custom) in one crate..

This is one thing I'd also really like to know how to do. If you could just put all weapons (including from mods like ACE) in one crate it'd be great.

  13. I am playing Xeno's ACE Domination!2 but I cannot figure out how lift helicopters are supposed to work. I know the ACE lift system is possible with the sling ropes, but we need the Domination script to still work on our small server. We cannot afford having 25% of our fighters trying to recover wrecks in the ACE method.

Is there a default parameters file in the mission .pbo somewhere? I cannot find any kind of a parameter file to edit. It is annoying editing all the parameters every time I start the mission.

    Thank you.
