Wasn't there some legal crud about freetrack at one point using protected components from Track IR? Is that in any way the issue here?Indeed.

New members can really get annoying. Please ban him placebo or another moderator.
I hope to NEVER encounter you online.
-
So you believe to get respect you must be a complete asshole such as what you are doing right now? Placebo was trying to be nice then you come on here yelling obscenities at him like you are some mad man.
I think this is a perfect situation to call you a hypocrite. :band:

There are so many threads on this topic already. Please use the search function before making three topics on the same topic.
-
Oh, so I should stick to thumbnails then? :butbut:
-
Sorry guys, I would have posted the full-sized picture but I thought it'd be 1680x1050 (my res). I forgot Photobucket downsizes images.
Probably should have posed the full-size image to eliminate confusion.

I was talking about the Navy...
-
Yeah the Hercules doesn't have it.
-
No...those icons show you the current services your HQ can provide for you in Warfare, I believe.Yeah I thought it was something along those lines. Would my game manual .pdf have the meaning of each icon in there?
@Mr_Centipede: I know about the situational awareness blobs from ArmA. They are extremely useful but I rarely use them just because I never remember they are there. Thanks for the help though. If you would have looked at my picture I have those icons I am talking about circled just so you'd know what I'm talking about.

Therefore you are a troll.

Are they fixing the 'feature' where planes will start to auto-correct with the flight pedals causing the plane to wobble (very noticeable with Lightning II)? Also, the VTOL aircraft especially the Osprey have very little speed when turning with pedals.
-
...i've read somewhere that the knighthawk was going to replace the seaknight in the near future? This is true.
-
-
I've seen in some older videos ArmA 2 having the ability to blow out areas of a building with explosives. Is this still in the game or did they take that out?
-
Voxels are another option, that saves performance too. I doubt this engine supports voxel maps though.
-
Marines use Pavehawks.
-
Now it's ringing a bell:rolleyes:. I've heard that feature called other things though, hence the confusion.:D
-
I've never heard of cascaded shadow mapping and I'm a graphics enthusiast. What in the world is that?
ArmA 2 is supposed to have Hemispherical lighting!? Isn't that like Ambient Occlusion?!!
-
Thought so. :D Well you don't have 800 individual processors but you do have around I think 800 stream processors, which is similar. Basically the stream processors allow your cores on your GPU to be multi-threaded efficiently. BASICALLY
-
Wow that wasn't confusing at all...:391:
Good thing they fixed it. If they have that much attention to detail this time around I can't wait to see everything else they have fixed. Or added! The new helicopter sounds are extremely awesome to the extreme level.
-
Good idea:bounce3:.
-
Rick, what GPU have you got? ATi HD4xxx series?
-
I'm a huge fan of PhysX by nVidia. Only drawback is the technology currently is only on... you guessed it! nVidia cards (which I happen to have)!
I think it's pretty ridiculous that ATi users can't experience the same level of realism and immersion as us nVidia users currently. I think everybody should be able to run it, and the actual hardware of ATi cards are more than enough to run the software. Just marketing. :l:
Joystick Setup for Helicopters
in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Posted
So if I setup the pedals to my axis rather than the turn action I wont get the pedal/joystick all in one axis crazyness?
I hated that with ArmA 1 and now 2 as well.
