    I seem to be having trouble with the email notifications from this forum now. I used to get emails from subscriptions, PMs, etc without issue. Nothing changed to my knowledge and now I get nothing. I verified my contact and email settings in my account, and also checked my spam and trash folders in gmail. Is your email service down or something? Thank you.

    Low CPU utilization & Low FPS

    From reading that article in the link it seems ideally we should all have extremely fast single or dual core CPUs. Is this even possible? Every CPU I see out on the market is a quad or even hex core. If I am understanding everything, I should see a very noticeable performance boost if I were to overclock my CPU. What do you think about this? My CPU (in signature) is at stock speeds and I honestly do not really know anything about overclocking CPUs. I have only ever overclocked GPUs.

    Game only using 20% of CPU...

    I disabled hyper threading (AMD quad core) in the BIOS and I still get next to no CPU usage with only about 60% GPU usage. EDIT: Whoops I just realized that was on my last CPU. I do not have HT thanks to having AMD.

    I guess this is a good place to post my experience. I will not even delve into how much I was anticipating testing this alpha. The idea of providing feedback to BIS before launch and at a discount makes me excited! Hopefully with these ideas we can avoid a launch like ArmA2 or more recently SimCity 2013 (the horror). I get 15%-25% CPU usage and average 18fps in game. This is so unusable I cannot even test anything! How are we expected to test the game in alpha if our multiple core 64-bit CPUs are completely useless? I do not want to come here and just complain to BIS to fix the optimization, as I know what an alpha is about and what to expect. The alpha should not however be this horribly optimized for a fairly high end computer. The ArmA2 launch was very rocky, and ArmA1 not much better. I am seriously hoping ArmA3 does not suffer from a similarly terrible launch, but now I am beginning to question this. Why should any demanding software so modern it is not even released yet be so primitive and hard to use? I love BIS so much and I have been here since the beginning, but dammit I just want to test the alpha! It is not so much to ask. My rant is over, sorry for the immaturity. Sometimes it is so frustrating when nothing is working properly (SimCity and ArmA3 Alpha). Please sound off and let me know what you think.

    I ran a quick search on the forums and turned up no desirable results. How do you use the packs in OA? I can't freakin' figure it out and I'm sure it's very simple. Thanks.

    I have a problem with the helicopter escape objective. When the mission finishes loading it immediately says congratulations and ends.
  10. My understanding is you need a mod for this to be possible. The standard BI gear window does not support dynamic text. Although they have patched in the ammo count bar in the gear window, so maybe it could be possible using similar techniques?
  11. Update: Sorry guys YouTube had a bit of a screw up. I lost two ArmA videos I uploaded that day, and it'll take me a bit to record replacement videos. Apparently YouTube had some system-wide data loss that day (or week) and a few new uploads and channel changes were lost. They sent me an apology email. It is easy to be intimidated by the ArmA2 editor. I created a basic tutorial on YouTube demonstrating an easy method to create a completely dynamic mission in the A2CO editor. No scripting or editor knowledge required, though if you do know scripting you can do a lot more with it. Keeping it simple for the less experienced players out there. Following this guide and playing with the results can easily result in countless hours spent in front of your computer having a blast in ArmA. Knowing you created what you are playing makes it even better! Video: I hope this is the right thread for this post. I usually do more reading than posting in the editor forums!

    Unaware if this is a known issue. In 1.3 beta the 'find helicopter' objective is broken. A few seconds after starting the mission it says congratulations then ends the mission. Is there a change log between 1.25 and 1.3 beta? Is there any clear documentation on what the different game modes are? I do not know what infected or clear town game modes are exactly.

    AI Heli Control 1.0

    Although this does seem to fix the AI overshooting their 'move' orders. In the past I remember the AI would go hundreds of meters past the move marker at times. They'd just keep on flying until you told them to disembark or something. Now the AI flies as they should by stopping a few meters short of the move marker. So happy! Yes it is very unrealistic, but these weird maneuvers are actually how to get the most efficiency out of the current flight "model". ArmA3 will thankfully have flight mechanics improved even from Take on Helicopters, so I'm hoping that will make the AI fly in a way that wouldn't shear off the rotors in real life. If the controls adjust the cyclic as they do in real life, and *not* the body of the helicopter as in every video game ever made I will be extremely happy. The helicopter body has zero control surfaces on it. The body and fuselage is essentially deadweight in a pendulum hanging below the rotating control surface.

    This is awesome. Though the only module I see an advanced option for is the town construction set. Are there any others? I'd love to see ambient combat and secop modules included.

    I don't have an account and I downloaded it just fine. Wasn't aware we're even supposed to have some sort of account. I'll try this out on my dedicated server tonight.

    No problem with the file I understand. I have an account at a few gaming file distribution sites like FileFront. If you want me to upload 1.2 (preferably 1.3 haha) I can. If not you should replace the download link with the armaholic link. Good to know about the landing system. It would be a good idea to state how this works in the mod description. Just to clarify: When you give any of the landing commands it just tells the AI to land at the closest possible LZ (helipad)? I remember the AI pilots always overshooting their target destinations in ArmA2 by quite a long distance. Now they seem to actually stop a few meters short of the move order. Is this changed in your mod or an ArmA patch? It has been a while since I have even attempted to use AI pilots since they were so bad before. Thank you again for the awesome addon! Keep up the great work fredkatz! We all really appreciate it.

    COWarMod Release

    Nope the only addons in my game folder are @JSRS, @CBAx3, and @COWarMod. I am having trouble figuring out how to work the new lock on system for aircraft. In the past we press tab to lock on to ground and air targets alike. Now it seems there must be some other way.
