I've never had this issue, odd. Troops don't use TWS 100% of the time because they'd have to constantly be looking down their sights limiting their FOV. Troops [not sure of Army, speaking about USMC here] usually use NVGs. When they enter a combat situation they raise their goggles to their hairline so they can look down their TWS sight at their target(s). PS. The USMC use TI much more than the US Army. US Army uses it more for black ops whereas the USMC uses it within Force Recon [lots of troops in there, not usually classified ops]. Kinda funny that BIS has this reversed. I guess they just didn't think to implement the TI technology into their engine until developing OA.

I can't seem to get this to work. I put all the files in a new folder I made called "@Vehicles" and put that in my modline and I'm not seeing the results. :( -
If you turn off a TI sight battery all you'll see is black since it relies on electricity to display the image. TI sights can display thermal energy, not the visible light spectrum.

Only real bug I've had so far is the mission area being on a mountain with nothing there, couldn't complete mission and had to restart to get a new random mission area. -

Yup they use smoke and chaff/flares automatically when they are attacked. The smoke seems to actually interfere with acquiring a lock with LGMs, not just blocking line of sight making the smoke very useful for tank commanders. -

I'm assuming this is just a bug everybody knows about, but I want to be sure. Why is the insertion helicopter a UH60 but the extraction helicopter is a UH1? What does the IR strobe do in this mission. Anything? Oh and does the CAS support request work for anybody else? HQ says it's en route but it never actually gets to the target. EDIT: After waiting for a while an MQ-9 finally showed up but ultimately did nothing but circle the target a few times. -

How can I play this with mods? It seems I need to run the temporary BIS fix to combine A2 and OA though Steam in order to execute this mission, as it needs files from Chernarus. Though when I run that file I can't seem to activate mods at the same time. I don't want to play without JTD Fire and Smoke! :P So is there a way to play with mods using the Combined Ops workaround BIS provided or do I have to wait until Steam makes a proper fix for this? Thanks guys. -

So everything will still work okay, I just get those because it's not yet fully compatible? I ask because people have it working apparently. -
So I tried downloading the latest version of @CBA for use with JTD Fire and Smoke 0.2 in Operation Arrowhead. When I launch the game it tells me I need a certain XEH file to run the JTD mod. Isn't XEH included with @CBA? Maybe it just doesn't work with AO, but then again people have JTD working with AO apparently. Help? Thanks guys. :)

So I've been with the community ever since OFP was launched for PC way back in the day and I still don't know what Domination is. I've played OFP and ArmA online extensively, but not so much ArmA2 (just upgraded computer). I bought Arrowhead on the 29th and I'm getting back into the MP scene. What is Domination and... well any other popular game mode I might not know about? I'm familiar with the standard FPS games (TDM, CTF, etc), Warfare, CTI, and Evolution. That's about it. So what are all of these odd gamemodes I keep seeing? Thanks for helping out a vet. :o
