    When you deploy cargo from the C130 does the vehicle gently float down to the earth for you or does the parachute fail?

    At work we recently built some new computers running four 500GB drives in RAID0. The performance increase is quite substantial (~350%) compared to a single drive. This got me thinking about doing a RAID0 setup at home for increased performance. I realize there is a x4 chance of HDD failure using RAID0, but if I back up all my data on a 1.5TB external drive I think I'll be fine. I know ArmA 2 reads/writes to the disk a lot while you are on your travels throughout the game world, loading textures and such. Would I see any improvement in-game using a four drive RAID0 configuration? (~350% increase in read/write time and disk access speeds) Thank you for your time.:)

    How are the reliability on those things? More than five years ago I had some really bad experiences with WD. I'm going to need some rock solid drives for RAID0.

  10. What is going to be done about the missing missions? Does 'acknowledged' mean you are going to implement them or just delete them from the wiki? I'd really like some more Warfare missions for OA/CO. In the current state we have to either chose between ArmA 2 or OA.

    I've never played Insurgency before. Is there a version I can download for small coop/LAN/SP use? I don't want to host a dedicated server and all that hoopla.

    COOP Warfare/CTI! Like Warfare BE but with the ability to play on a locally hosted LAN server in the browser without the AI scripting crashing due to CPU overload.

    Armored HMMWVs including Avengers cannot be winched up via helicopter since the hotfix. Normal unarmed transport HMMWVs can however be picked up. Strange.

    We may be wrong about the lacking of a parachute for vehicles. When releasing a vehicle from the C130 a parachute can clearly be seen on the ground below the vehicle, not actually attached to it. It seems the scripting for a vehicle parachute is a bit broken. I can't seem to be able to pick up Avengers or other forms of armed HMMWVs. I can however pick up tanks using a Chinook. Unarmed HMMWVs can however be picked up by the Chinook.

    Great hotfix there Psycho. Glad to see most of my DevHeaven post fixes are implemented. It makes me feel like I contributed some. :) Great work on everything so far, I'm really loving it and so are my friends! Only thing I can think of off the top of my head right now is to add parachutes to released cargo from the C-130 Hercules. As is when you release vehicles from the C-130 they hit the ground and roll full speed into whatever is in front of them. Ideally there should either be skids on some sort of delivery platform, or far more simply just a parachute attached to the vehicles like the HMMWV you may call from the support menu. What do you think?

    After completing my first nine town victory as an engineer I've come to a conclusion. Player-made FARPs need to be changed desperately! My friend and I were constantly getting frustrated with how the FARP I created wouldn't actually rearm, refuel, or repair any of the vehicles. There also should be a vehicle service point at the main base similar to the helicopter service point. It would be so nice to be able to drop off a destroyed vehicle at a service point at base and have it be repaired. Especially since the player-made FARPs don't do anything except give infantry an ammo crate. Either one of those would work, but preferably both. Desperately needed Psycho. In it's current state long-term games became more of a chore than being fun due to it being a logistical nightmare. Everything gets destroyed all around the map and you can't do anything about it since your FARPs don't do anything and there's no place to drop them for a complete repair/refuel/rearm. I know the combination of all support trucks will accomplish the same thing, but that's so much hassle. It gets really fun when an SU25 attacks my base, destroying all the support trucks at my disposal. Basically we just need one object that does all three support tasks (rearm/refuel/repair) in a fairly large radius. Ideally this should be an 'H' object (helicopter pad) at player-made FARPs and/or in the main base. Please act on this ticket. This is the worst bug I've seen yet. Thank you for your time. (I added this to the projects DevHeaven as well as I feel it's more appropriate there)

    ACE for OA 1.11

    I think the problem is because the mission parameters are set so only satchel charges can destroy radio towers. The mission is not ACE supported yet. I think the changes to the way explosives work in ACE break the missions idea of what a satchel is and isn't. Not sure if that made any sense haha.

    Arma 2 Addon request thread

    What's a good mod pack to fix a lot of things the game doesn't quite do right? Currently I'm looking at COWarMod. I don't want all the heavy scripting and added content ACE2 has. I just want a mod that mods what is already there, not an addon to add more units, game mechanics, and all that jazz that is ACE2. ACE2 is incompatible with way too many things anyway.

    Could ACE mod interfere with satchels in any way? I'm playing a beta Evolution map and I cannot blow the towns tower with six satchel charges.

    A new Evolution mission!? This is what I've been waiting for since ArmA 2 came out! All praise -Psycho-!:pray::notworthy::icon_hug: Now I can show my friends who are new to the series what ArmA online is all about! I'm starting up the mission for the first time ever as we speak. I have a question regarding the last available parameter. "Override BIS Effects" What does that do?

    Looking For Two Missions

    Hello there! I'm looking for two missions. One needs to be dynamic (changes every time), similar to CO20 TFOR, but single player oriented instead. The other is simply the most complete, bug-free Warfare mission. Again I like to play solo or with a few friends, so I must host locally, not on a server someplace. What's a good Warfare gametype for single player (playing by myself in a local server)? I've been away from ArmA and the community for a while now and I'd like some good missions to enjoy since I'm back. :) Thank you all.
