Is it possible to: - Make Steam see and recognise the ARMA II install and OA install? - Then be able to buy both PMC and BAF DLCs? It's an issue that has cropped up, after trying to buy the DLCs in the Steam midweek madness sale. Would one maybe need to move the Arma2 install folder to the "D:\GAMES\Steam\steamapps\common" folder, or do a fresh install into that "common" directory, or no option left but to buy Arma2 again from Steam? -
Still no solution for this? Our (remote, hosted) server doesn't show on the list. But!!!... once it shuts down, it becomes visible for a minute, but no one can connect then, as it has shut down by then. BE on or off doesn't make a difference... Server is a Quadcore Q6600, 3GHz, 1GB DDR2.

Yeah. That didn't work unfortunately. [EDIT] SIX_pack1 was conflicting, apparently. It's working now, after removing @SIX from the startup.

Thx! And the defense, it should be flares and such against missiles.

Others see my animation, but I can't get an ammo box to appear from the ammo truck? Could it be the sequence of mods? Do I need @XEH before yours, which I put in the @LSD/addons folder?

Did you use a song by Apocalyptica as music for the AH6 movie?

Judging from his sig, I would guess Spanish: "Ojo por ojo, el mundo se quedará ciego." -
I was wondering why I got located with my M9 SD in the shrubs. I also wondered why, when choosing the M9 SD from the menu, it selected the standard M9 bullets and why they didn't sound different. My bad for not putting 2'n'2 together.

The Shrike for the M16/M4. Vapourware in reality (apparently), but a nice option it is nonetheless.

Is there a way to create body postures? Would be interesting to see how difficult it is to create the skydive postures. -
He's using Chammy's Sound Mod (CSM).

nm, it has been said already.

So I plonk this AAH-Example.Intro directory into my C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\My documents\ArmA Other Profiles\JAMF\missions directory and launch it from the editor or how does this work? -
Quoth the Raven...Point Magnet! Glacier Girl isn't comming to Duxford. I was dying to get close, or even hear her live. I could cry.

Yep, a prophead here too. When I bought my first ( ) Cougar somewhere in 2003, it was less expensive than the CH setup. WRT pedals, there is a set called SimPeds, which I own a set of. Unfortunately the designer, seller and manufacturer is quite ill, so one can´t expect too much production. I would expect them to be below $500AUS.
-
No, and neither does the Cougar!? You can find a Cougar HOTAS for around $200. The CH setup costs about $100 for the pro throttle and about $100 for the fighterstick. The CH pedals I tried, and they were too close together for me. The movement of the stick felt like other sticks (except the Thrustmaster F22/Cougar type), but the springs were too light. I do prefer the metal of the Cougar and with IJ´s mod (The mod wizard of Aus. ), it will last my lifetime and become an heirloom.

That link is broken?

Doh! If you hadn´t quoted my post, it would have been lost in oblivion.

Tsk tsk. Toys. IL-2 Sturmovik is where I hail from, which is 1946 in it´s current incarnation. When you are serious about flying, you have a modded Thrustmaster Cougar. It´s up to you wether you are an F-16 realisme fan and pick a force mod (FCC or FSSB) or go for a durable precision movement in the form of IJ´s Ü2-NXT.

You press "I" to see the score. You press "P" to see ping and bandwidth.

Adding -noflash to the desktop shortcut? (Rightclick->second tab->target field) Or are you referring to something else?

this should be a selectable item, not standard

Nice that the chute is a "vehicle". Now they better bloody fix it so you can steer it and can start your "vehicle" when you want. An auto-open at altitude x or lower could be made for safety and AI. This should make it possible to create a HALO mission. SF drops at high altitude (at night with NVG) and dropping to LO altitude the chute is deployed, then steered to a rooftop from where the mission continues. Remember BlackOpsHALO from OFP? -
Just a small observation. It looks like the temperature reporting tool (SpeedFan? MBM?) has switched the CPU and motherboard temperatures. I would say the air temperature in the case is 28C, the CPU is 36C and the VGA is correct at 76C. If there was a chipset temperature sensor, it normally would give values between CPU and motherboard.

Great idea, DM. I would be up for such a "really hard" version, since I had no problem with driving a repair crew to damaged resources and I like seeing the pilot "avatar". Really cool if the "real hard" version would include reanimation, a 1 or 2 minute unconsious period before being able to respawn. I can see it creating a better coop experience and a more cautious style of play. The engineer could be the only one being able to lay mines as well. Securing the access routes with minefields before attacking a city has become a strategic option, because of the reinforcements driving into town, instead of spawning. I still would prefer a culling distance that goes beyond the grey area. I don´t like putting an AI in the danger zone, just for me to be able to snipe from a mile away. Another effect of the AI spawning is that if a chopper is the first into the grey area, he is assaulted by everything that has some kind of MG. Another effect of the culling is the absence of AI in the Shilkas? So they can be approached from just outside the grey area and taken out without being challenged. I don´t think that was the idea behind giving cities a Shilka "protection" zone.
