Yep they even put it in the demo.. Just as bad there... :| I mean honestly, how could you release a map like that? It just leaves me completly mystified, why would you release something that clearly does not work??? I've already reported the bugs on the Wiki... lets see if they get it sorted :|

There was one 'official' word from Placebo (i think it was him who i saw quoted) ages ago that it could be 'tomorrow' but it never came... But theres been no news since and i think Placebo was just giving a rough guess... But that was like a week ago... Really hope its soon tho

There is a large variety of maps in progress im sure, but map makers take care with their new and innovative maps. They don't like to release their stuff early ^^ And also most 'leet' map makers will have used OFP map editor a LOT, meaning they know all the tricks, so maps take longer to build... I'd still love to see some nice OFP classic maps when i get the full game... (CTF St. Pierre anyone?

Remember though, Vista wants 1GB mem for itself, like XP wants its 512mb, so make sure you get 2GB RAM if you want full performance from your PC's memory in vista =)

And dont expect one to be found soon if the full game is anything like the demo... lol

Otherwise right click 'My Computer' and change your computer name... Name it to something like QUADCORE MEGA PC and expect 60 players in 30 secs.

Scrub's right. The BRDM _IS_ stronger than the Hummer, or so it seems, the armour is much thicker, the gun is more powerful (and the gunner is defended, and there is minimal glass, so there is more armour coverage. BUT its easy to overcome, aim for the exposed parts, take out the tires and it cant move, you can burst the tires with just a few bursts. then it cant move, then you can keep shooting at it (or the quick way get an AT launcher) and BOOM its dead, or if you are low on ammo just hang on and wait for the inhabitants to disembark, then shoot them up. Best to practise this on the CTF map.

Yep, if you dont optimise your pc much, this program should show quite a big improvement! But for those who keep their pc up to date and optimised you might not see much improvement. =)

Nope, but its understandable as it is Xmas, but in all fairness it should have been released with the demo itself...

Sounds like it doesnt like you using any software such as Daemon Tools, or Alcohol 120%... do you have any software like that? Try disabling it... And have you followed the steps in the error message?

If you want fun, try flying an Mi17 LOW AND FAST Great fun (so long as you got respawn! ive had some hilarious crashes.. If you want to survive i guess a littlebird is the best for that...

Yeah i got the 9550 with 256 mb and ive overclocked it to get up to 30 FPS, the game is now playable and enjoyable (excluding the lag and areas of heavy foilage) though i have to put the game on minimum GFX which is dissapointing as the game has such brilliant GFX, im upgrading in the new year..

Trying the blackhawk in the demo? Where? Choppers availible in CTI Mode. MI 17 + UH 60 are availible depending on which side you pick. You can also try out the T72 + M1 tanks. And yeah 'rendevouz with the chopper' doesnt actually happen, and u gotta hunt the WHOLE town to find the last guy.

Which you can upload remotely of course, best to stick them in seperate addon folders incase you ever wanna turn off a particular mod or anything.

Yeah im warming to it too, just takes practise.. let go of the past.. :P Though i have to say ive not tried using attack choppers yet (im using the demo) so i dont know how good/useless it is in a combat chopper. I guess it might be quite difficult to engage in a chopper... I may invest in a nice joystick later on in the game... but at the moment im having to fork out for a new pc :'(

Hes talking about the VOIP. There are no controls to raise the mic volume which is too quiet ingame to start with.

lol i dont think BIS realise how bad this demo is... CTI doesnt work,, try and spawn and you get flags all over the island and it wont spawn, sometimes it will freeze, ais spawn on top of dead ais for no reason so u cant capture cities,if you die you cant come back in cause you click on a flag and you wont spawn... People lag like CRAZY because BIS decided not to release the dedi server with a MULTIPLAYER DEMO. :| The only map which works is COOP, and you have to find and kill EVERY enemy AI, which is near impossible with such a small squad and a large town. Sort.it.out.or.lose.out.on.sales.

Yeah 5109 is what you're supposed to have, but i downloaded 5108 from file planet.. i downloaded it as soon as it was released on FP... I have no explosions on any grenades, tank shells, rockets etc, i hear them launch... no explosion sound... i raised this already in the troubleshooting forum

Yep i went on your server and vote admined myself only to find that it didnt work :\ I asked yesterday whether there was an update on the status of the exe.. i dont know if it will be released before xmas tomorrow but i doubt it lol... Would have been nice to play on some dedi servers instead of just playing COOP

I have the same issue Shwiing... Can you check something for me? Go into your game, on the main menu check to see what build you have, i have build 5108... and i read somewhere that this is the wrong build.. maybe thats causing the lack of sounds?

there ARE dedicated servers which are run using the -server command BUT the maps will NOT LOAD. This is a restraint of the demo, hence why we are waiting for a dedicated server exe to run a dedi server.. which i have no idea why they didnt release it with the demo, its just causing more problems without it...

No response? Whats the difference between the builds? Anyone else have build 5108? I downloaded this direct from Fileplanet as it became downloadable...

Its MUCH MUCH easier to use the cockpit view than the 3rd Person view... I find it very disorientating the way that the chopper seems to 'spin about a point' in the centre of the screen, and then i never know where im flying and i crash, internally i can see directly in front and i can fly it. I havent mastered landing in the cockpit yet cause of camera constraints :\ i have to use 3rd atm...

It varies, ive got it up towards 80 FPS, usually lower i'd admit, ive also overclocked my GPU... But i have got up to 80 depending on location. Any update on the Demo dedicated server exe? I read somewhere that it was due yesterday.. delayed till after xmas now ? Cheers
