Hi Jabba, there are some settings in Arma you dont need for good looking graphic: set: Postprocessing to low object detail to very low landscape to low (not very low to see grass) AA disabled (if you play 1600x1200) the rest to high/very high I play 1250x960, 1200m viewdistance, all high/very high, AF middle and the rest (postprocessing etc low/very low) in the wood with 30-35 fps and the start scene (rhamadi) with 120 fps. my AGP-Sys: Gecube 1950XT @ 715/827 X2 4200 @ 2,9 Gig 2 Gig MDT sry for my english, regards from germany EDIT: HD-performance has no influence on game-performance!

hi, i am a little bit confused. In my german version of xp home I have in the task manager 3 things in my laptop internet-only: handles 4689 threads 278 processes 23 Someone in this forum have 250 handles. I have 4689 handles under windows on my performance optimizes 3 years old Lifebook (only for internet). On my gaming pc (xp home, 1950XT AGP, x2 4200+) the handle count grows to 6900 after few minutes on empty Rhamadi. sry for the english, not my first language. Greez from germany

the thought of my solution is to place manually the data from DVD or downoaded source to their folder of the installed version. If you have problems with addon folders you have to transfer the addon-zipp to the addon folder of the installed game (and so on). When it dont work with the downloaded version than I dont know what to do. sry for my crap english, its not my first language Regards from germany

@UBERNOOB @ZAPPAMAN I have a solution works for me (pbo error messages) -unpack all pbo´s from DVD (or downloaded package) to addon folder of your installed game -use winzip as standard unpacker (not winrar)!! -install the 1.02 patch to 1.00 Version of ArmA. I hope you both dont ignore this post. Try it!

i have german DVD-Version and the same problems during patching german patch 1.02. Some error-messages. Now I cant play anymore. I hope for resolutions next days or I sell it on ebay. Regards
