i hope someone in the future makes a test we can compare to our machines or the testing sites makes the timedemos available they used to bench arma2. The tests aren´t fully nonsense but a little bit. Nearly nonsense ist the last test to make different graphic settings on different cards..

here another test HD5870 benched with Arma2: http://www.hardware.fr/articles/770-13/dossier-amd-radeon-hd-5870.html I hope there will be in the future a benchmark from the Arma2-Demo. You can integrate it into the main Game to take advantage from patched A2. regards from germany

When is Arma 2 going to be fixed for vista?
jumpinghubert replied to Sinhouse's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I think all people have vista-only give xp a chance: 20-30% more fps. Thats the experience of many people with dual boot system in many forums. win7 give lower fps too. Its nonsense to say "vista runs great". Its the question, HOW great... win7 4900 armamarks xp 5300 armamarks in gaming scenarios (big city) the difference is bigger (28fps (win7) to 40fps (xp)) -

jumpinghubert replied to bangtail's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I have installed xp-32bit and Win7-64bit RC. Very good performance on both: Armamark (xp): 5150 Armamark (win7): 5020 settings all very high/objectdetail high/landscape normal, 1680/1050, noblurA-Mod (from Kegety´s). Latest nvidia-betadriver. I have to correct, after patch 1.02 installed I get on win7 4500 armamarks points and still about 5100 points on xp-32 sp3. -
