    Back to topic.

    I too support the no weapons dependency. I understand why is done like that, but sometimes people use stuff like this units for a mission and the may be already using another weapon pack, making the hall lot a very hefty download just to play a mission.

    Good units tho, I been hoping for something like that sens OFP first came out nearly a decade ago.

  3. I just been playing about with the SA-6 and I noticed the optics for the guner are non existing. All I get is a zoomed view, without any crosshair info or anything, then I went to the "turn out" option and I CTD.

    I'll try to replicate this on an addon free enviorament next time if you want me too.

    I hope this is just a simple problem from my side, cos this stuff is seriously nice.

  4. Great + thanks to the PRACS team! Now RACS troops have something serious on the ground + on their own to kick invaders biggrin_o.gif

    After a quick test I found out that with M60 tanks you cant look up+down through the commanders sight. "Design" bug by ArmA or by the model?

    I thought that you couldn't shoot aswell, but you'll have to turn out to fire the gun, nice touch, I like that. However, this shouldn't stop the viewing window from moving up and down, at list is trying to recreate an old fashion periscope that is fixed to the turret without servos and fancy technology, in that case, again, nice touch and I like that too.

    Nice.

    EDIT: I just though, if the periscope is an old fashioned one, maybe you guys should think about ading some dirt to the optics like BIS binoculars, and maybe tint it a bit too.


  5. Are you guys introducing a diferent pilot model? It would be nice to see one for the jets, another one for the Cobras, and the standard one allready in the pack. I wonder if you could get permission to use some of the PKW_Pilots for the jets.

  6. We have scorpions, aliens with laser rifles and f-117. It would be nice for someone with skillz to actually make a nice black or white V8 SUV for 4-5 cargo seats smile_o.gif

    I second that.

    However, I would really like to see a few civilian helicopters.

    Notice the "Project RACS Pumas" have a very nice one on the civilian side, and that reminds me of an white MI-8 that I seen once, with a blue stripe along the sides. They have so many uses...

  7. I think I understand the way you do this; you like 70's vehicles, but mostly American, wich are very different from European vehicles of the same period. Correct me if I'm wrong, and I'm assuming this by what you released so far ( Apart for the Smart wich I wouldn't include in a pack with the rest of your vehicles BTW)

    I been hoping to see some European cars from 70's and 80's, moustly 80's, but I'm assuming you not really interested in them. I'm gonna have to learn modeling.

    I'm not asking you for this, because I prefer you working in the line of stuff you been working so far, you doing a great job, but I'm puting a list of vehicles that if I ever learn modeling I'll work in.

  8. Well, that's the idea. If the addon is worth it it will be used, missions will be created using this addon, and as a matter of fact, they are getting done, every day, lots of ArmA users make missions using every single addon created. Some may never get saved to any hard drive, but them 60 minutes expended on messing about with an addon in the editor are well worth it.

    I create lots of missions for my own use, some of them change every time I load them, maybe I add an extra edge to it by adding another addon, maybe I expend two hours trying out somebodys weapons, or just confronting two armies in a field with me watching as a neutral unit from the top of the hill. Who cares?

    No addon is usseless as long as somebody loads it in the editor and gets some funn out of it, even if is just blowing it away, lol.

    I know what you are trying to say, and I suport you on that, but at the same time I find a lot of use to them.

    There is people who create missions for clans to use on their servers that uses addons. I bet you they are having some good fun.


  9. Some weapon diversity would be interesting, like some European weapons like the G3A3 and some G3SG1 for Marksman, some FN-FAL and derivates, etc.

    Lots been allready made for what I found and there is some nice quality stuff out there.

    I noticed that you mentioned about Vilas helping in this project, and his European weapons are excelent, so maybe the use of some of them would be a good solution.

    Also noticed that Army of Czech Republic project mod released an excelent Land Rover Defender addon that needs to be finished and they would be excelent for special ops of the RACS army. Maybe you guys could iron out this addon.

    Ofcourse, this is a lot of permissions requesting, but if the authors give you the green light this will be great.

    I wanted to ask you, do you think that you'll add some more punch to the grenade explossions? Or you living them as they are?

    BTW Mark, you wouldn't have some nice envioramental sounds, like trees being shaken by hi wind, or floks of birds suddenly taking off, etc. I had a look at the ExtraSFX addon by Aeon  and I fancy trying to do something like it but with new sounds.

    EDIT: I ment to say, I noticed that 6thSense WeaponPack grenade launcher is affected while I'm using your mod, it replaces the M203 firing sound with your "throw" hand grenade sound. I don't know if this is to do with your mod or with 6thSene's weapons.
